My pogoplug is sitting here with greeen flashing light for over a hour now. I unplugged the power, removed all the connection to the device. I plugged the power with nothing else plugged in and light still blinking what is wrong with this unit?

Questions about adding Samba

Hi, looking to add samba to my pogoplug pro but have a few questions before i take the plunge. I have figured that i need to Install/add the package installer first. I have read different accounts of both using a USB key to do the job and installing it straight to the plug. Then adding Samba using the package handler. If i was to use the USB method can i remove it after or does it hve to be left in?. I have the general idea just trying ti fill in the blanks. Any help is greatfully received.

5.1.0 on Mac doesn't work

I'm a Mac user that runs 10,7,4 and with te Pogoplug Backup 5.0.0 everything was great. The pogoplug drives mounted in Finder life was goooood. I installed 5.1.0 and everything has gone to the crapper. The drives will mount in finder when I open Pogoplug backup but when I close it the drives dismount. If I had the 5.0.0 code I would re-install it. Support hasn't been able to fix it or come up with any real ideas why

This drive is not available?

My pogoplug is now behind a corporate network with firewalls. Are there any ports that need to be open for the pogoplug to work? I am not able to connect to my pogoplug now and it tells me this drive is not available. the LED top light tells me its offline.

Transcoding Video

When viewing a video on-line does it always have to transcode the video before viewing? I tried to watch a 30 min video and after 20 min it had only transcode 10%. I let it complete and then the following day tried to watch it again and it started traanscoding all over again - can I presume it does not save the transcoded version? Given the time it takes to transcode, does this mean I will need to give it 3 hrs advance notice when I want to watch a 90 min video - if so that is not very practical.

New iPhone app update (5/16).. disappointed

So i upgraded the new Pogoplug iPhone app this morning looking forward to some new features and i'm severely disappointed. :( I wish I could go back now. The favorites folder is now several folders deep. I use this option many times daily and now it takes twice as long to get to it. I'm not a fan of this interface. I would rather see more features instead of a revised interface.

Pogoplug Pro forever green blinking LED

Hi, I got a Pogoplug Pro ( POGO-P01 - Pro ) with forever Green blinking LED * Power on the device * internal blue led lights up for a few seconds, then * external green led starts blinking and keeps blinking forever Tried to hook up serial, but nothing seems to come up, hooked up a meter to serial header and it shows 4.5 volts, which seems odd. I've checkout other post on green blinking led, but there the device reboots after 20 seconds, which seems different here. Ok a bit rambly post, so let's get to the point: any hints how to bring it back to useful life? -okigan

problem connecting drives

I have a 2t seagate drive that pogo does find and use when it is the only drive. when I plug in an additional wd 2t drive the seagate drive is no longer available only the second drive is listed. If I plug in the wd 2t drive and an additional drive the pogo seems to work properly. it is only when I try connecting the 2nd 2t seagate drive that things just don't work. I hvae tried uninstalling the pogo device powered down everything and plugging in drives in different order and either i havnt got the right combination but the only thing to work is the wd 2t drive with an other drive. the seagate drive which has an exact copy of the information of the wd 2t drive does not allow for other usb drives.. this is starting to drive me a little crazy thanks

Email Attachments feature broken

The Email Attachments feature used to allow me to send an email to upload@mypogoplug.com and any attachments contained in the email would be saved to a pre-designated folder on my personal pogoplug storage. Once the file is saved, I used to receive an email confirmation that the file was successfully saved to my device. I have discovered that this feature is now broken. The check box, Upload my email attachments to: ___ on ___ , after selecting the folder and clicking OK out of the dialog box, will be automatically deselected after you view a different setting and then return to Email Attachments. See Account Settings > Email Attachments. Please correct this issue. UI Version: 4.5.1.0 Service Version: 4.5.0.3

Please reinstate custom slideshows in the new UI

With the new web UI, the custom slideshow feature is no longer available. This feature allowed for the creation of custom photo slideshows and incorporated the ability to add music to the slideshow. Links to the slideshow could be shared out. It's obvious that the hardware devices support the feature. The functionality is available, but just missing from the current interface. Please consider reinstating this feature that distinguishes the Pogoplug products as a personal cloud device from the other cloud solutions out on the market.

Signing In takes me to Email Link page

Hi All, Has anyone else had these issues. I've been using the Android App OK now since it's original launch and have had a few issues but all appeared to be OK. However I have a problem of not being able to log in using my HTC Desire handset. I sign in with my User ID and Password, but then get the Email Link page appear. Does anyone have any ideas? I haven't updated for a while. Does anyone know if the old versions still work? Do Not really want to update as I hear the File Size is now huge and my poor little HTC can't take anymore. Recovery after hbmgr.sh was removed from /etc/init.d/rcS - HELP!

I have a Seagate Dockstar that I have been making several changes to recently, among them: -changed the SSH password -assignment of static IP address -installation of Optware: http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Main/PlugComputers /p> -installation and configuration of NTP through Optware -installation and configuration of AFP (trying to get Time Machine working) through Optware A couple of days ago I removed the /etc/init.d/hbmgr.sh line from /etc/init.d/rcS because it seemed that the mounted of drives that occurs when that script is run was preventing AFP from working. It wasn't until after I did that and read various postings online that I realized that one of the functions of that script is starting SSH access. The LED blinks green for a little bit before blinking yellow. My static IP (assigned through commands I added to /etc/init.d/rcS) has held and I am able to ping the Dockstar at the expected IP address. I have a USB to serial adapter that has the PL2303 chipset. Looking at the cable, it looks like the chipset is in the serial end rather than the USB end. As a result, I didn't behead the serial end. Instead I rigged up a connection to the Dockstar using this cable, some alligator clips,...

Destination Folder Unavailable

When I enable backup and let it go. it works for a while and after couple hours I visit the website again. I see those folders become unavailable. Strange thing is that I can still see those folder and drives from the main page. And I try to remove those backup enable selection with Unavailable, I cannot remove them. Any suggestions why this is happening?

Tonido or Pogoplug for your Computer?

With the recent update, Pogoplug has started charging us if we wanted to turn our computers into a Pogoplug through the Remote Access feature, a feagture they had blogged about ( http://blog.pogoplug.com/feature-favorites-remote-access-1811/ ) to get more folks on the Pogoplug bandwagon. I've been looking for alternatives and Tonido seems to do the job of remote access really well. Oh, did I mentioned that it's free? I've been using and it seems to be great. Anyone had tried this and any thoughts on it?

Pogoplug takes up two drive letters

All of a sudden Pogpplug starts up a second drive letter, in my case Q. It does not happen when I first startup as I get the standard Drive P. I would say it is multi-drive mode; but I unchecked the box and it is still there. Also, both of these drives are still titled "Pogoplug" and show all my drives when opened. , so in my case I see three folders "Drive 1", Drive 2" and "files shared with me". Anyone know what the issue might be? I am using Windows 7 64-bit. Thanks

Pogoplug noob and NAT issue

Hi all! I'm about to buying pogo, however I've no idea if it can do the job I want to assign to it :) I would like to set up systematically back-up of my data in differential backup mode. The issue is that I have dynamic external IP due to my local provider. What is more I have wifi router at home, so the pogo would be under double layer of the NAT. How I can communicate with the pogo outside the locals and set up backup? Minor issue is how to set up print server on it, but this can wait. Pogo I want to buy is with installed arch linux on it. Help? :)

Cloud Engines, can you please fix the Pogoplug Jukebox issues?

Three software updates in the past year and you guys still haven't got it right. Music files still show up out of album order even if I manually number each file. How hard can this possibly be to fix? This glitch is why I started using Google Music. This shouldn't be necessary. I have a home cloud storage solution for a very good reason. This is getting embarrassing guys.
