However as a corporate user for a very very small company I am now upset. I just realized all of the new software updates after ordering a pogoplug 4 three weeks ago and believe I will be sending back pogoplug and hard drives I ordered. I want to share 2 folders and give users the ability to upload files. Original plan was to share 2 folders and give them read/right access, but make sure a password was needed to log into the folder before they did anything. However with the changes I cannot assign a password to this folder and do not feel comfortable sending a website link with read/write access without a password. Is there a solution to do this? Not sure if I could add a 2nd pogoplug to the same network, but even then I do not want to give everybody access to change the backups. I would be curious to hear a usability comparison from anyone has has a biz and tries the Team and if there are any advantages to Team over biz. I like the new Web Access button on the UI; it beats trying to remember it is under the Tools dropDown. I have not had a moment to learn if the Backup part remembers the destination and a few other things like don't backup a file, again, that has not changed. The one distressing thing is the consistent "seemingly" random names applied to the software. Today, the software is called Pogoplug Backup. Now, also today, if one goes to the downloads website URL [[ https://my.pogoplug.com/downloads ]] the software is called, "Pogoplug Companion Software." Until some weeks ago the icon on the bar was pink which I guess everything was ok, now without any apparent reason the icon turned black (which i guess it means you are not logged in) but I am logged and everything is normal, when I start the PC it log automatically as usual the light is pink for a while and then turns to black. Any idea? is it depending on PC? I was even getting encouraged that I had been able to share videos with my family and friends for some time now...after the crash &amp; burn failure of the Pogoplug Video. I was also happy that they tried to make that right by giving us a Biz model as a replacement...it worked...at least at first. Now they've release a new mobile device just in time for Christmas. But no It yours and only my costom UI after login. This looks bad for my bussiness and not what the extra &pound;200 should buy. Plus the redirect domain should not have https://my.pogoplug.com but only www.icymru.tv This could be world class but at the moment it is shocking. It not the pogoplug hardwear. Generally, I have found the PP Biz is probably the best and most predictable of the PP series...just my opinion. So I purchased two, 2-bay Acomdata hard drive enclosures with USB 3.0 connections and attached to my PP Biz. I configured each 2-bay drive enclosure as a RAID 1. All is well and both drive bays are working fine. The PP Biz detected the empty, RAID drives without any problem. All functions appear to work fine. In thinking about what I planned to load on these drives, I began to wonder how Pogoplug would know if any hard drive was failing...especially my brand new RAID setup. Does anyone know if PP has any intelligent signalling between the hard drives and itself to notify us that a hard drive was acting up? Almost all hard drives have built-in predictive failure signals that can trigger PCs to throw up flags about the health of a hard drive but does PP? Sure seems like it should.
