When I place them on the Pogo and access the very same file, the EVO says the file is not supported. I tried changing the media settings to "transcode" and it didn't work, I tried "never transcdode" and had the same results. Is everyone really happy with the Android App? I can't believe that. I am certainly not. Why does it take 2-3 minutes if I'm lucky for a music track to start streaming on my home network, yet when I use my laptop on exactly the same network, it starts immediately I click on a track? I have also transcoded all my videos, yet after what seems like a year and it eventually begins to play, it only goes 5 seconds before beginning to buffer again? Again, this doesn't happen on a laptop. I have left several remarks on these forums, yet no-one from Cloud Engines appears to be reading or answering them. I am overall, very pleased with how the pogoplug works on a laptop or desktop pc, but the Android App, for which I wanted it most, is very poor and needs alot more development in my opinion. Are all you employees of Cloud Engines working so hard on improving this app, that you can't find time to reply to me? If so, carry on and I look forward to updating to a version that... It worked for the 10 second preview, but when I selected to transcode the whole file, the app said it was an unsupported format. Is there a way to set up a playlist for music? My home connection speed is 2mb down / 256k up. With a 256k upload, my max upload speed is somewhere around 35kb/s. The 3G on my iPhone is around 1 to 2mb. Most of my music is around 6 to 8mb per mp3 (they are a little high bitrate). Wheneve I try and play an mp3 when I'm out, the song plays for about 1 second, then cuts off. It stays silent for a while (20 or more seconds), then either continues playing with stuttering, or doesn't play at all. I even get stuttering when I try to play lower bitrate (and thus, smaller) mp3s. Sometimes the app crashes during the silence. Can anyone help with this please? We all know that the transcoding feature on the pogoplug is VERY SLOW and takes forever. One of the moderators on this board suggested Handbrake which I used but still took me about an hour to 2 hours to transcode a 45 min tv show. Maybe it is because I am trying to trancode remotely I am in LA lets say and my pogoplug is in Chicago I am trying to run it thru handbrake that way and it takes forever. So I started looking for other ways to do this and this is what I found I used Super ---> www.erightsoft.com/ SUPER .html I used Bywifi ----> http://www.bywifi.com/help_transcode.html 1) You cant transcode remotely with Bywifi or Super it just takes way too long 2) I trancoded 3 things a. You tube clip about 50 seconds b. TV Show 45 min c. Full length movie 1hour and a half All of my tests worked BUT you have to trancode to MP4 that is the only thing the Iphone will play. I've found that no matter how much I tweak the size of a video file and even with the fastest 3G connectivity, I have to let the video buffer a good minute before I hit play. It's a bit frustrating. My home internet upload speed is hovering around 4 Mb/s and my iphone 4 is downloading at roughly 1 1/2 to 2 Mb/s, and a basic small MP4 still stalls a few minutes in if I don't let it sit and buffer for a while.
