My wife has an Motorola Droid Pro and when ever I take a photos or capture video with her phone it automatically uploads to my Pogoplug. That does not happen with my Motorola Bionic. I have to upload them one at a time...I'm not doing that. I was so happy to get my Pogoplug Series 4 for Xmas...the excitement is gone. This thing is slow and I have my house hardwired so I don't have it on a wireless connection.

android app suggestions

Hi, I really like the new feature in the app which auto-syncs my photos/videos (under /sdcard/DCIM recursively) to the pogoplug. Here are some suggesions for improvement. 1. the option to specify a specific wifi SSID on which to sync with. with this I would be able to sync only when I am on my home network which is usually what I prefer. 2. the option to specify additional folders to monitor. I use eye-fi and by default, eye-fi stores images/videos under /sdcard/Eye-Fi which is not scanned by the pogoplug app. 3. the option to specify a file size limit on what gets sync'ed. i took a couple of minutes of video on HD and it ended up being over 100MB. I'd rather not sync that over the air. I think you guys should really get the word out on the new mobile features of the app. you should have an android blog (androidcentral, androidguys, droidlife, etc) do a review with the new photo sync stuff.

I'm still using the Android App Version 4.0.7.17 and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a limit to the number of folders allowedwithin one folder. The reason I ask is that I have a folder for my Music and 343 separate folders withing that one music folder. However, on that Android App, I can only see 312 folders. On both the Pogoplug Software on my PC and via the web, ALL folders are there. Can anybody shed any light on this for me please? I have tried refreshing the app and logging out and back in again, but error is still there. Thanks for any advice and Happy New Year to you all.

Next song won't play when display has timed out

I have an HTC Thunderbolt with PogoPlug Jukebox v 4.0.8.118 installed. I had my screen timeout on the phone set to 1 minute, and noticed that the jukebox was not advancing to the next song as expected. When I refreshed the display, the title of the next track was displayed, along with the spinning activity indicator, but the song would never load. Advancing to the "next" next song and then returning would fix the problem, the song would load and play. And after 1 minute, the screen would timeout, and then the NEXT song would not play. I just went in and disabled the screen timeout so that the display remains active, and there is no more problem with songs loading. Is this a known bug? I'd really rather not have to keep my display active just to keep listening to music while the phone is in my pocket.

Can't seem to find any info anywhere, so does anyone know if the Pogoplug Anfroid App is available to download from the AppsLib Market? I have just ordered an Archos 4.8 which uses this Market place, but until I get it up and running, I don't know if its available on there. If it's not on there, does anyone know if the Pogoplug Android App from the Android Market will work ok on any of the latest Archos tablets? They run Android but apparently on an Archos OS.
Hello, I'm very new to pogoplug and so far I really like the potential of it, but I've run into a snag. I'm using the new client 4.0.8.5 on a Nexus S. When I upload photos no thumbnails are generated. I can browse to the files from a web browser and they will load (eventually), but never any previews. I'm uploading to the pogo cloud. Any suggestions? I've poked around the FAQ's & forum, but wasn't able to find anything. -Cory Extra Notes: I have tried 2 or 3 times (including after rebooting the phone). So far I've only done it over WiFi.

New Moboplayer update 1.20 (Oct 30) breaks streaming for me. just an FYI but I updated my moboplayer app and now streaming doesn;t work for me. it either displays the URL for the stream or just kind of hangs on my Droid Incredible. was working perfectly with the older version from August 2011. if you are going to update, make a backup of the older version. strictly an app problem, not a pogoplug one in my estimation. Also doesn;t work streaming from my Remote Potato/Windows 7 box. hopefully they will fix it.

Just got a Pogo Plug and I'm liking it a lot. I also have a Kindle Fire on pre-order and I'm wondering if there's going to be a version of the PogoPlug software for the Kindle Fire.

for some strange reason my pogoplug actually works, it has never worked like this befor, and i am so very happy, ever since i got my pink and white second generation, it has never worked the way it was ment to,i recently updated the pogoplug softwear and realized they made some changes to the interface and it looks great, but thats not is, i have the mobile app on my android phone so i can watch movies when am away, this has never function the way it was suposed to, the rencoding just jilled it for me and the thing just never worked for movies, well i recently downloaded a file player called MX video player that has a built in encoding abillity and it works great, it even plays the HD files on your hard drive smoothly, so to every one who has had this problem in the past like me, get the mx video player from the android market and have fun with your pogoplug finally. PS. To the pogoplug developers, my pogopug actually woks now, i have had this thing for 2 years and it never worked, but now with the MX video player its working finally,...
