Hi all I am using a pogoplug Pro with an external drive full of files. I also use pogoplugfs to connect from a kubuntu 10.10 x64 system. The connection is made through a 100 Mpbs ethernet cable. I am experiencing a very very slow connection using dolphin. Amarok is almost unusuable. In the terminal, each time I follow a folder I see the following error appears in the terminal: [065756.160][139973][HBFUSE][08] -- READDIR UPDATE OFF OF LAST [0x1000 0x0022]: {1365} #### Filename #### [065756.300][139973][HBFUSE][08] -- READDIR NO ROOM [32 < 56] {1433} #### Filename #### [065756.301][139973][HBFUSE][08] -- READDIR UPDATE OFF OF LAST [0x2000 0x0020]: {1432} #### Filename #### [065756.430][139973][HBFUSE][08] -- READDIR NO ROOM [8 < 56] {1500} #### Filename #### [065756.430][139973][HBFUSE][08] -- READDIR UPDATE OFF OF LAST [0x3000 0x001e]: {1499} #### Filename #### I have replace the real name with #### Filename ####.
Hi everyone A quick question which is as the title states: Is there a way to mount Pogoplug without pogoplugfs? I currently use the 32-bit version of pogoplugfs and would like an alternative way of mounting the device. Any ideas?

Hi all I am having problems with file permissions on my Pogoplug. I have copied a number of files across which for me have rwx (read, write and execute) file permissions. Strangely when copied to the plug the files have lost the executable permission. Doing either chmod 700 filename or sudo chmod 700 filename does not bring back the executable permissions. Does any one have any idea why this is? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. For information I have a v1 pogoplug (pink and white EO2 with 4 USBs). One of these USBs has a Western Digital drive attached and I'm running Linux accessing the drive with pogoplugfs. I have a mount point setup /media/pogoplug which is owned by me and in my group.

Hey i have a Pogoplug V2 since day one i use Ubuntu and never had issues with it... Currently i use 11.04 32bit and lately i have issues to move files onto my Plug.... I can start up/downloading and all of sudden it will freeze and just quit loading... I can only force it to shut the pc down and then reconnect to it. Playback is working fine and in WIN7 it works too.... Did something changed in 11.04 that messing that up??? Thanks Michael
[Read more]

Hi, Tonight I was reinstalling my Ubuntu machine and because this machine is going to be connected to the internet I did not want to store any passwords in clear text on the machine. Auto-mounting my Pogoplug was not needed. And to make my life a little easier for mounting, I made a small little script to ask me for a username and password to mount my Pogoplugs. [code] #!/bin/bashecho Pogoplug Hard-Disk script echoread -p "Enter your login : " loginname stty -echoread -p "Enter your password : " passwrd; echo stty echo echo echo Logging in your Pogoplug and mounting it. ./pogoplugfs --user $loginname --password $passwrd --mountpoint /media/pogoplug [/code] Now this only works if you already installed pogoplugfs and knows that it works. Just change the paths if needed. Script is super-simple and can be used free of charge. Just think of me when you are using it :) LOL
[Read more]

I have one simple Pogoplug (POGOE02G) correctly installed and running in my apartment and when I try to copy a document from my Pogoplug while I am at work, therefore not in my local network, I doesn't work. It always comes with some error, if it is a PDF it is unreadable, if it is a picture I get about 25% of the top of the picture, if it is a song I get only a couple of seconds of the begining. If I do the same test inside my local network everything looks fine. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Is this a limitation? Does anyone here have the same experience? PS: my computer is running Linux and pogoplugfs is running without any error messages.

I have a Pogoplug Pro which I successfully installed and used on Ubuntu 10.10. I did a fresh install of 11.04, but now am unable to get pogoplug working using the tutorial ( http://www.pogoplugged.com/article/13974/How-to-Install-Pogoplug-Drive-on-Ubuntu-10.04-Lucid-Lynx/ ). I get the "SSL Server certificate ... Failed to connect to server: -15!" error. I have used the 64-bit binary, installed fuse-utils and changed the mountpoint permissions. Any thoughts? Anyone have success on Natty?

I been able to get pogoplug pro running fine on ubuntu 11.04 desktop, but running into a bit of problems running it on 11.04 server. I installed everything and anything marked fuse just by running sudo apt-get install ^fuse but as soon as I create a shell script in /etc/init.d/ to start up the file which I moved to /usr/local/etc/ I get the following: =================== cut/paste========================== XXX@XXX:~$ sh pogoplugfs --user XXX@XXX.com --password XXXX --mountpoint /media/pogoplug pogoplugfs: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected XXX@XXX:~$ ./pogoplugfs --user XXX@XXX.com --password XXXX --mountpoint /media/pogoplug Segmentation fault XXX@XXX:~$ ==================================================== I assuming I might be missing a requirment, but what that is I am baffled. I'm using the directions from: http://www.pogoplugged.com/article/13974/How-to-Install-Pogoplug-Drive-on-Ubuntu-10.04-Lucid-Lynx/
[Read more]

I see recent dates on this board, but I am having a time of it finding where the actual download of pogoplugfs is. Following this: ">http://www.pogoplugged.com/article/13974/How-to-Install-Pogoplug-Drive-on-Ubu... Brings me to: ">http://www.pogoplugged.com/download/list?cat=37 Trying to get the 32-bit version, click Get It Now! and I get rerouted to: ">http://www.pogoplug.com/default.html No download. :-( What am I missing?

Rsync doing needless transfers to an NTFS Pogoplug drive

I dual boot Windows and Ubuntu, with all my data on a separate, NTFS, partition. I need that partition to be visible to Windows. I have an NTFS drive connected to my Pogoplug Pro and use rsync to keep all my data backed up there. However, it always transfers a lot of files that I know do not need updating, even though I use the --modify-window=1 option. Is this a limitation of using NTFS? Would switching the drive and my data partition to FAT32 be any better?

Hi, Why you have removed previous Linux downloads: http://www.pogoplug.com/downloads.html Now, there is only 32bit version of pogoplugfs. Remember that when we're talking about Linux most of them are now 64bit. You didn't write also version of it. This is old version or there is something new?
