Each has two drives. The office backs up to pogoplug and then that copies to the house. Then house data is similar, but moves to the office. I has work almost flawlessly for two years. But with each update of the drivers and webui, it degrades. Now the most important function for me is gone. In the webui, when setting up a backup, remote access drives can no longer be used as a source. However, they can still be used as a destination. This changed a few weeks ago. If remote access drives can be used as a destination, they obviously can be sensed COULD be used as a source. The importance for me is that I used to be able to initiate a backup of a remote system. But no longer. I've submittted a ticket (#61902), but alas, they say that it was purposely removed and that uploader is the only solution. That would be fine if the uploder worked but it randomly changes both the drive and pogoplug in hte destination. Lots of time uploading, but nothing happedns and I have no idea where those files are going. You have no ability to specify which files are uploaded it just does it automatically. Are these photo's now on the cloud? or are they still only stored locally? So to get a complete picture of who you share with (by e-mail) and what's being shared with you (by the other user's e-mail) you have to use BOTH entry points. Who shares with you? It works as it should and I like it a lot, except for one thing: When looking at the photos from a web-browser (at work or at a friends place for instance), the quality of the photos is really, really low, except if you choose to go full screen and "view original". I would like the "previews" - or what to call them - to be a bit higher resolution and not so damned compressed. I have the bandwidth both at home (where the Pogo sits) and at work and most of my friends also have enough bandwidth that viewing files at higher quality should not be a problem. However, there does not seem to be a setting where I can control this, and having to go full screen and view original size is not exactly a practical way of viewing an album. So every time you need to type in your username and password. There is a workaround available. As long as you don't sign out, you will not be asked about password. It had the name of my PC, but the icon of a pogoplug device. It reports that Remote Access is turned off (it isn't) and there is another Windows icon with the same PC name that works with Remote Access. If it matters I have both a PogoPlug 1 &amp; 4 device, but the ghost deivce was there before I added the version 4 device. In fact it used to work for remote access on my PC and then quit working properly - acting as if Remote Access was not enabled. When I installed the latest software after activating the version 4 deivce the new working windows icon for my PC under Remote Access appeared. I have been able to rename the ghost device and relocate it to the top of the list of devices, but I would like to know how to delete it completely since it is non-functional. Anyone know how? I've asked for some help, and they keep closing my requests as "solved" and then don't solve anything. 1. Before they changed sharing to "collaboration" you could create an embed link to a photo, for example, and include that photo embed link in an e-bay auction , to host your own pictures on your own pogoplug device. Now that feature is gone. However it is available on some of the related hardware makers' pages, like seagate's starting page, or buffalotech's page. This is using the code to embed a jpg in a web page that is coming from one of my pogoplug drives. It's not a pasted in photo, it's a link created by using the public share/embed feature of goflexnet.pogoplug.com (that was removed from my.pogoplug.com). Try doing this with my.pogoplug.com, it was there before "share" became "collaborate" but it's gone now. I have to use the goflexnet.pogoplug.com site to access this feature that used to work on my.pogoplug.com, until that got broken. I want to back up a folder I have on there, (with family picures on it), all sub folders and the files in those folders to the Pogoplug cloud. I use the settings menu to define the backup from and to folders, but it doesn't then backup the existing content in the picures folder. It does however backup any new photos I add. Is this how it should work?? Do I have to manually copy the existing files across to my backup file?? Seems a bit lacking if that is the case.
