I have rebooted, and still get the same error. I cannot access my drive from either machine (obviously), and very upset that this isn't working on either operatiing system. To make matters worse, now Pogoplug forces you to sign up for these advertising offers by default with this new software. The support seems not very reactive. So I write my problem here. I bought my Pogoplug 2 weeks ago (the pink one). It worked well but suddenly ( it happened for the first time 3 days ago ) some of the files I copy in the disk attached (in folders or outside ) disappear just after the copy. They seem to be copied and the disappear after the copy. It is very strange and frustrating because sometimes the copy is OK and sometimes not. It is not reliable. And the same occurs when I sync files. I use the old soft ( 2.5.5 ) and now the new ( 3.0.1 ) but the result is the same. No problem with the web interface but it is not handly at all. Does someone has the same problem? The white indicator light is burning. I see the drive when I go online to MyPogoPlug, but I do not know how to get the drive to show up on my desktop so that I can load files onto it. After downloading the mac software I opened the pogoplug icon on my desktop and instead of seeing my drive, I saw a broken alias file named 'LaCie Rugged FW/USB'. When I clicked the broken alias file I got the error '(error code -43)' and another error saying 'the application cannot be found'. After googling this error code I found this article from Apple http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2039 that states SMB shares can't have special characters in their names. Loe and behold, I changed the name of my drive from 'LaCie Rugged FW/USB' to just 'Lacie' and the drive now works on my desktop! Just brought a pogoplug pro to use mainly with my atv2 and stuff. I'm also gonna use it with my two macs as well. They are both on 10.6.6. one is a mid 2010 17" i5 with 8gb. The other is a 2006 white macbook 2.16 core2duo 3.3 gb. I can't get the attached drives to mount on either desktop. I have downloaded the app to do it, and I have the relevant box ticked, and have pressed reload several times. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times. I have hard drives and servers visible in finder prefs ticked too. Any ideas?? It's kind of limiting the usefulness of it at the mo!!
