I want to install Samba on my Pogoplug, will this cause any issues with other functionality such as using the website?  I asked customer service and they did not answer question but sent me here.

If you use samba via optware, then it should continue to function as a "normal" pogoplug.

If you choose to use something like Arch Linux ARM, you will loose the pogoplug.com functionality.

Actually, as of recently, this is not an issue anymore :)

We have a working method to use Pogoplug services via their software and a recompiled version of the open sourced XCE kernel module.

Right now, I am trying to get it sorted for the kirkwood SoC's and the 3.1+ kernel, as obviously thats far from the stock kernel.
