answering the picture problem....
stop exporting the pictures in the photo section of the uploader. because if u continue doing this , then will be the pogo plug the one who will create the folders for u.
instead of this. work in the "files" section, create a folder with the name u want, and place the pictures there. the thumbnail creating process will be exactly the same with the difference u will put it in the folders in the way u want.
the pogo plug still with accommodate those pictures by date in the "photo" area to show it in the timeline, but at least u will have your own section (files) with those same pictures in the way you want.
so now you can create public links based in this folders and not in the timeline created by pogo plug.
sorry for my english.

Hello all,
I tried a search first to see if I could find my answers, and I couldn't. Forgive me if I didn't search enough and I am asking repeat questions.
First, I need to start out by saying the main purpose of the pogoplug was to replace what Apple is getting rid of. We were using the .mac online storage to host pictures. Family had access to the folder, and it was a nice layout, in that they could see small icons of the pics and then they could download the original if they wanted. Apple is discontinuing this service if you haven't heard.
I purchased the pogoplug and attached an HD. I don't like the timeline function. I see in the files tab, I can re-organize and make folders based on what I want, but when I upload using the Mac pogoplug software, it automatically creates folders based on time. How can I stop this? It's annoying to upload one photo only to have it burried in the 2nd subfolder for example. Also after I have made my folders in the files tab, the photos tab takes all of the photos out of their folders and gives many pages of photos. My only option here is to sort by timeline, which again, I don't like. Any other options?
I think I also found a bug. When I upload my iphone 4S videos that were shot straight up (not widescreen), using the pogoplug software, it rotates the video 90 degrees to the left when you go to play it on the web or through the pogoplug software. The interesting thing is that when I open the HD on my desktop and I see the folders as if it's a finder folder, and then play the video, it plays properly. When I add the video this way it still plays rotated to the left over the web. Any thoughts?
Lastly, the iphone 4S app. Is there anyway to upload single photos from the camera roll? The idea here is to upload photos as we take them, but not every photo.
Thanks for helping, I think this looks promising, but there is a few things I need assistance with.
Scott
I have figured out the best way to sort my files.
I sent a message to pogoplug support about the rotated videos getting uploaded to the pogoplug. Anyone else out there with orientation problems when iphone 4S videos are uploaded?
Scott
Yes, iPhone video rotation has been documented elsewhere. Seems to be an issue with the way the iPhone pogoplug app processes the data. CE has not addressed it in any posts I have noted on here.
