What is the difference between "Actives Copy" and "sync" from "Pogoplug uplader" ?

As other user "Actives Copy" doesn't works on my computer (impossible to select HDD form my computer), so i would like to know if the feature included on Pogoplug uploader (sync) can do the same ?

I would like to backup in real-time my data store on my computer to my pogoplug device.
