The Android App gives you access to your Pogoplug unit's attached drives.

If you have movies that are properly formatted, it will stream them to your device(phone or tablet) using an external player like Moboplayer, Vplayer, ect...the important part of this is that it has to be proerly formatted to suit your device(screen resolution, MP4/H.264 encoding).

I believe it has a built in music player and photo viewer

I also think it automatically uploads the photos on your device to the pogoplug cloud site.

You can use the app to upload individual files to your drives as well.

Bottom line, the Android app is the best available interface to the pogoplug.

It is far superior to the iOS as well as any web interface for one simple reason... it will STREAM any video format directly to MXplayer. Install the free MXplayer from the android market, and with a fast enough connection/processor, even 720p and 1080p mkv files will stream directly to your Android WITHOUT the need to transcode and without having to download the entire file.

This is not currently available on iOS or on the PC with the web interface (which makes absolutely no sense, but there it is!)

Yes Pogoplug is in the Android Market...

And it's only worth the three stars that are posted...

I've been unable to get MKVs to play from my PogoPlug via the Android app.  How do you do this?

Sorry, you are right. Mkv are not supported for someones' logical reason.

The only thing missing from the app for me is the ability to download and upload whole folders.
