I don't own an Android device but the speed of the Pogoplug and transferring of files is hugely affected by what kind of storage device you have connected to it.
It also depends of you have a 1Gbps connection or 100Mps.
What do you have connected and when or how is it slow?
My wife has an Motorola Droid Pro and when ever I take a photos or capture video with her phone it automatically uploads to my Pogoplug. That does not happen with my Motorola Bionic. I have to upload them one at a time...I'm not doing that.
I was so happy to get my Pogoplug Series 4 for Xmas...the excitement is gone. This thing is slow and I have my house hardwired so I don't have it on a wireless connection.

There must be an issue with the DROID BIONIC, or at least the Android version it is running.
I am having the same issue, the auto-upload feature works PERFECTLY on my Droid 2, and my Motorola XOOM tablet, but NOTHING on the Bionic
I have been working with the pogoplug team in trying to get this resolved. We have tried multiple things, but still have not found a solution.

It was worki.g great on the HTC INC but after upgrade to HTC Rezound automatic upload does not work.

Please implement music play list on android client as this will differentiate pogoplug from other cloud music services..at the moment only amazon and sugar sync have goodplay list support

After the update, Auto-uploading stopped working on my Droid 2 Global.
it had worked FLAWLESSLY up until I updated the software.
The Auto-Upload does work fine on my Xoom FE, even after the update.
Please help restore the auto-upload feature to my Droid 2 Global!!!

Still most working on rezound for camera photos works with pics taken by app called pano

I have the same issue on 2 phones, HTC Incredible 2 and Motorola Droid X... Both of these do not automatically upload anything.

I fixed the issue on my Droid 2 Global.
I simply uninstalled the app, and re-installed it.
It is of course attempting to re-upload all 300 pictures I already have uploaded, but at least its working.
