I've had my Series 4 for a couple weeks now. When I first got it, things seemed to be running as expected. However, about a week ago, I decided to reorganize my external hard drives: all the drives that were previously connected to my Pink Pogoplug were connected to my Series 4 and vice-versa. When I plugged my 1TB Seagate drive into the Series 4, it did the usual media scanning and eventually everything showed up. A few days later, it vanished. So I then unplugged it, deleted the .cedata folder and plugged it back in. History repeated itself: drive was there one day and gone the next. Unplugged drive and deleted .cedata again. This time, when I plugged it into the Series 4, it would NOT show up. I left it plugged in for a day thinking that maybe it needed extra time to scan the drive's contents. A day later nothing showed up.

At this point I'm starting to think it's the Series 4, not the hard drive, so I unplugged the Seagate drive from the Series 4 and plugged it into my old Pink Pogoplug. And whaddya know? Drive shows up immediately.

Is anyone else having issues with their Seagate drives and their Series 4 units?

Same problem, drive will show up and then disappear a few minutes later.

Truly frustrated about this.

Same here. I used 2 different HDD docks connected to the USB 3, and after awhile it disappears, and with the other dock it doesnt show at all. But connecting to the USB 2 works fine. This is a bug which they know but wont admit yet.

That makes 4 of us, then. I've been troubleshooting an NTFS WD Drive on the Series 4 and it mounts for a few minutes the disappears. A MAC OS Journaled Drive has been stable the whole time. Today, I re-activated my older PP Pro device and the NTFS drive mounts almost immediately and appears to be stable. Glad it's not just me, but I wish it were no one ;-) I'd like to know what to do to resolve the issue.

I put out a trouble ticket and apparently tech support has no ide.a what's wrong either. Try plugging it in the USB 2 port. It works fine there.
