It's going to take more than a few suggestions as the Android app is completely broken when it comes to music streaming. Come on Cloud Engines, being able to play songs in actual album order shouldn't be too difficult to make happen.
And what's with organizing videos by month and year? Why? It's completely unnecessary.
I'm loving the new series 4, but the Achilles' heel of Cloud Engines continues to be crappy software.
Hi,
I really like the new feature in the app which auto-syncs my photos/videos (under /sdcard/DCIM recursively) to the pogoplug. Here are some suggesions for improvement.
1. the option to specify a specific wifi SSID on which to sync with. with this I would be able to sync only when I am on my home network which is usually what I prefer.
2. the option to specify additional folders to monitor. I use eye-fi and by default, eye-fi stores images/videos under /sdcard/Eye-Fi which is not scanned by the pogoplug app.
3. the option to specify a file size limit on what gets sync'ed. i took a couple of minutes of video on HD and it ended up being over 100MB. I'd rather not sync that over the air.
I think you guys should really get the word out on the new mobile features of the app. you should have an android blog (androidcentral, androidguys, droidlife, etc) do a review with the new photo sync stuff.
Bottom line, the Android app is the best available interface to the pogoplug. ![]()
I would like the option to select what folder (or sub-folder) that the auto-upload feature uses. This is useful as many families have multiple devices.
Also, I agree with auto organizing my video/pictures should be optional as some users might not want this.
HI All,
thanks for the feedback on the Android App, I'll send on these requests to the product team. @Caligula check out the latest version of the Android app--we've made some major updates and I hope you like it!
Hello. Can I add a requirement for the app to be able to run from the SD card. Thanks.
