Could you give us a little more info on the model of drive you purchased? I believe that the SATA slot on top is meant specifically for smaller models, e.g., the GoFlex and smaller laptop type drives. With a proper cable, you could still connect it though.

Specifically went out and bought a new Seagate 1.5 TB usb3 hard drive to use with the new Version 4 Pogoplug and the drive is too thick to fit in.
Just to add to the OP's report: I made a new purchase of a Seagate GoFlex 1TB and indeed it was too large to fit. It turns out that if you look at the side of the GoFlex box, it shows that the 500GB and under units are only 14.5mm thick whereas the 750GB and larger are 22mm (too thick for PogoPlug).
I was extremely lucky that the brick & mortar store allowed me to exchange it right away for a 500GB, but I was stuck having to purchase additional "stuff" I didn't need because of the price difference.
Had I known it needed to be 500GB or smaller due to size, I wouldn't have lost the extra cash.
PogoPlug - I suggest you clearly state on your promo materials and website that it only fits the 14.5mm GoFlex's (500GB or smaller).
I had the same problem... THis is what I did

You will have to remove the hard drive from the case and remove a small bit of the bottom of the case (I used a dremmel) to get the cable to pug into the drive, you can then re-case the drive and it will still work with the usb 3.0 adapter it came with too. This didn't work with my 3.5" GoFlex desk (yet) I am assuming the power needs to be run from the USB 2.0 base it came with and the data seperate. (Haven't looked yet but I am sure these guys have the cables for that too)
