I have the exact same problem. I deleted a folder because it had errors in it. I spent a whole lot of time trying to get it back. The older existing backups show the laptop drive but can't get a new one to show.
Hi,
The browser utility won't allow me to set up a new backup. My existing backups (which seem to have carried over from the older version of the software) seem to work just fine, but when I click 'Enable Backup' to set up another folder on my laptop to back up, the laptop HD doesn't show up on the list of source volumes. Only the Pogoplug-connected HD shows up, which doesn't help since I'm trying to back up files from my laptop HD to the Pogoplug-connected HD.
Any suggestions? I'm using a Pogoplug V2 and running version 3.1.1 (3.1.0.7.7) of the Mac software.
Hi Guys,
Please update to the latest versions of the software and let me know if it solves your issue. Please note that this version will replace your Remote Access software and Pogoplug Browser with a single unified application.
Mac: download.pogoplug.com/install/mac/pogopluginstall.pkg
Win: download.pogoplug.com/install/win/pogopluginstall.exe
Hi Nicky,
I downloaded and installed the version of the software you linked to. In the desktop utility, the backup function seems to have been replaced with a 'Sync' feature. However, the backup function is still present in the web portal. Should the I delete the existing backup settings in the web portal and set up equivalent syncs in the new desktop utility? Also, is the sync feature any different from the backup function?
I am having the same issue on the site. All of my old backups are corrupt and I needed to delete them. I am planning to use the sync desktop feature when my pogoplug 4 is delivered.
