Just to clarify - this is the port end of my Seagate drive. This drive does not power on when plugged in to the Pogoplug. It works fine (but slow) when I connect the USB 2.0 cable to the end and then connect to the Pogo.

Recieved my Pogo v4 today. It works find with all types of USB based drives.
I popped the end off my Seagate 500 GB external because it has the USM technology. I attached it to the Pogo's USM/SATA port and it fits perfectly. Only problem is the Pogo does not recognize the drive. When I reattached the USB dongle to the drive it works fine. I want the speed of the drive connected to the SATA port and not USB speed.
Any ideas?

Did you submit a support ticket to Pogoplug, or did you email them? You could try contacting support@pogoplug.com directly if you haven't tried that yet, I know they want to be as helpful as possible. There is no reason your drive shouldn't be working, based on what I have heard.
Can you post some pics of the new pogoplug device? For some reason, Pogoplug does not show any pictures other than the front! Great way to sell a product!!! For the longest time, i could not figure out how many ports the PG Mobile had!!!!!

Thanks for the info. Do the new Pogoplugs also have built in Wireless adapter?

The gigabit ethernet port is a nice add-on. Hopefully the support technician can figure out what the deal is with my hard drive not working with the pogo.

Well with not one reply from someone from Pogoplug I think my decision to ax this device is certain.
I purchased it one sale for 40% off with free shipping and that still isn't enough reason for me to keep it. If someone pays $100 for this they are stupid.
