As usual, something strange is going on with this company.

My friend got an email about an exclusive deal for the new pogoplug device. She got 50% off... and this link in her offer..

http://shop.pogoplug.com/promo/89184900

I was offered only 40% off and here is the link they sent to me....

http://shop.pogoplug.com/promo/89186300.

Both of the offers arrived via email on the same day (today).

Why is she getting 10% more off of the price than I am? Anyone else get this offer?

Can anyone at Pogu reply with an explanation?

Dang, I bought one for only 40%. My guess is where the offer came from. Also, the 40% for owners was free shipping, where the 50% was not,

The 50% one is a dollar cheaper when we you work it out.

My only question is that why would anyone buy one when they still haven't fixed any of the problems of it losing files?

Get Spinrite at http://grc.com It is not free but it's worth it. Can fix a lot of hard drives.

Run it on your hard drive you have hooked up and that my fix your losing files. If you have a USB drive open it and take the hard drive out and put it in a PC to run Spinrite on it.

I never have lost files on my PogoPlug Pro.

Use both 40% and 50% links together and you can get it for $49.99 shipped! :P

Is it worth it to upgrade from the original pogoplug to this? I wish they had more info on specs etc on their website.
