Hello

I have pogoplug pro is it possible to map to pogoplugged drive in windows 7? I have used the pogoplug browser however uploading file using the software is very slow. If i can map the pogoplug drive that will be great.

Thanks

I believe if you download the premium version of the desktop software you'll be able to map your Pogoplug connected drives: http://www.pogoplugged.com/download/16490/Pogoplug-Desktop-Software-Premium-V...

Perhaps someone from CE can verify...

The trial version will do the job.

I stumbled upon a forum posting pointing to some older versions. I downloaded the 64-bit (for my Win 7 64-bit system) this morning, and it's working great for me.

You're welcome.

I found another post pointing to http://my.pogoplug.com/activate/software/ as the current version of the software. I downloaded it and it also works on Win 7 64-bit.

Unfortunately, I have another computer on my home LAN, Win XP 32-bit, that I'm having issues with. I cannot get the old ppdrive 2.2.5 version to connect. I cannot connect to it via the browser either, but I just now realized that I have not installed the pogoplugbrowser.exe code there. Still pursuing these issues.

Hi Franko,

We haven't tested the old drive app version 2.x in quite a while. The new Remote Access Software should work on your XP machine - download the Free Trial from http://pogoplug.com/expansion.

By the way, in the coming weeks, the drive app portion will be added to Pogoplug Browser.

Thanks, Chris. I happened to have just tried the code downloaded from /activate/software. Stopped both the VPN client and the antivirus/firewall just to remove them from the equation, and it worked (accessing them as the P drive).

Is the free trial at /expansion the identical software as found at /activate/software ? Does the free trial have a time limit?

Thanks,
Franko

Hi Franko,

Glad you found a workaround.

Yes, the software package available on the expansion page and the activate/software download link are identical.

Xbox 360 failed to find my PC on the network after I downloaded and installed the software from http://my.pogoplug.com/activate/software/
It would only recognize the pogoplug.

After removing this pogoplug software then my xbox 360 could find my PC again.

My Xbox 360 failed to find my windows 7 PC on the network after downloading and installing the pogoplug software from http://my.pogoplug.com/activate/software/

(pogopluginstall.exe)

Xbox would only find the pogoplug device.

After uninstalling the pogoplug software everything was back to normal, the Xbox could see both my PC and the pogoplug device.
