HI GS,
Only Seagate's Dockstar/GoFlex Net and Buffalo's CloudStor products support both Pogoplug features and WFS.
This is by design - users access their Pogoplug Cloud, Pogoplug attached drives or Pogoplug enabled computers with an universal method, namely, email and password Sign In.
Kind Regards,

Hello,
I own Seagate Dockstar and it supports WFS, I fully expected that PogoPlug will support that as well but can not find this option in menu.
Is it supported?
This is not good. I had a dockstar and just bought the pogo series 4 fully expecting that it would support WFS. I have scripts that backup to the dockstar via network share name (i.e. \\\). Now I have to always run the pogoplug desktop software first? That's not good. Two questions: (1) when will WFS be supported in series 4? (2) Is there a way to run the pogoplug desktop software (so that I get that drive P) via a batch file (right now I have to enter my user and password via the GUI)?
Do what I did. I can not return it but I can write a rewiew of product. I gave it exactly 1 star out of 5. This is just such a disservice to customers who used Seagate product. Our expectations that product purchased directly from vendor shall have at least the same capabilities as reseller not 50% of those. For me product is absoluletly useless without WFS. I store my movies on network share and play it from different HTPCs at home. Without WFS support this become expensive paperweight. So 1 star for review may be will send some message to retailers and prospective buyers not to set expectations high for this product.
Yeah, and on top of all this, video over DLNA doesn't work! I've tried playing videos (mp4) using two different DLNA clients and all I get is "file corrupt or not supported". Music and pictures works fine. If I use the pogoplug app (on iOS) music, pictures, and videos all work. This tells me that the DLNA implementation on the series 4 is definitely not ready for prime time!

I just tested the DLNA with my PS3 and it worked better than any DLNA test I've done yet. First DLNA video test I've done where continually fastforwarding video and stopping video and going to another video kept working without a hitch. I was pleasantly surprised just how well fast forward worked, as aside from Netflix, I just haven't see that work well with streaming video.
I tested various mp4 and avi files, one I know of was Divx. I tested 8 videos and only had an issue with one avi file which started playing then said it wasn't supported.
I must admit I really wasn't expecting much, thinking of Pogoplug more as a cloud file server than a media streamer. Given that I'm very impressed with the media streaming and will definitely be making use of this. Guess I need to watch a lengthy video all the way through first though before being certain it's reliable - early indicators look great.
Now I just need to figure out if I can get it to work with Roku 2 as that uses a lot less power than PS3 and also need to figure out how to map it as a drive or any more direct way to access it on pc versus using the pogoplug app and clicking upload (yuck). I'm really surprised it didn't come with a more lengthy manual (even if on pdf). The web help says you can go into options and turn on using it as a drive letter but I don't see that in this version of Pogoplug unless I've misunderstood where it should be.
Open the pogoplug software, select File, Preferences, then Pogoplug Drive and turn it on. Defaults to P, but you can choose the drive letter.
