I just hooked up my new PogoPlug series 4 and am surpised to see that it doesn't support WFS. My seagate Dockstar does but I was concerned that it was not being updated any more and I wanted to get the official PogoPlug version, but it doesn't do what I want it to do.. this seems lame. please add WFS support
To quote another pogoplug user;
"One more vote for samba or WFS support, or any way to see my file shares from my WD live player. Cloudengines, you have so much potential with this little device, but you give your users just frustation by hindering the functionality - not exactly the way to get user loyality. Why am I (or any Pogoplug user) not being granted same functionality as Docstar has? I have bought YOUR product, which should have more functionality, not less!"
Does Cloud Engines have any official position on SAMBA?
I was going to buy one - but - They are currently on sale - now I know why - if it doesn't do SMB what's the point? Other plugs can - so why did they take this functionality away?
not having such sharing capabilities within a local network makes this device unusuable with any media connected home, who in the world made this decision? i haven't been this disappointed in any device EVER. Fix it and fire the person in charge of deciding this.
I am also for Samba on the pogoplug, it makes so much sense to have it built in; rather than hacking the system to get it to work.
And yet another vote. I am quite disappointed after setting up my pogoplug4 and figuring out the basic feature that is other devices is not supported. I bought your device to create a NAS for my digital audio files to use on Sonos.
Also disappointed there was no Sonos support. I just returned it. I really like the form factor and low power usage of the Pogoplug Series 4, but I wanted to use it as a small NAS for family photos and music. If you can get this working I will purchase it again.
