Hi sergioangel,
This is Christopher, head of Customer Outreach here at Pogoplug.
Use Pogoplug Uploader available at http://pogoplug.com/downloads to backup your stuff stored on your computer. Once logged into Pogoplug Uploader, click 'Sync' and 'Files' from the popup window to setup your backup.
Kindest Regards

Hi, I need to setup my backup function. When I am trying to enable it, I get a window and I need to select a folder that I would like as the Source of this Backup. But the Window display only my Destination HDD on Pogoplug. I don't have the option to choose my real Source (C: on my PC).
What can I do to fix it? You can see that I already have my PC folders on the remote access too.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks Christopher!
I already download and installed the Pogoplug Browser (with the blue icon).
As I understand, it is working right now, but I have a new question, do I need to run both programs (pogoplug with red icon and pogoplug with the blue one)?
Because we made the same procedure only with the red pogoplug software, can I still use the Backup option in the red one?
Thanks!
Hi sergioangel,
For the time being you should run both pieces of software for the backup and remote access features you want.
We are working integrating features from Remote Access Software into Pogoplug Uploader, removing inconsistencies you are experiencing now.
Kind Regards,
Christopher
Christopher,
The Sync function doesn't do what it is supposed to - I added new files to a folder I had synced between my laptop and a USB drive attached to pogoplug. However, even after several hours Sync never figured out the presence of new files on the laptop. It is bizarre why you wouldn't have a button in the Sync UI where you could allow a user to run manual sync once in a while when your automatic sync fails utterly. It is kind of disheartening to see a solution and product with great promise, go downhill so rapidly.
I do not like that I have to run two pieces of software to sync and have access to my PogoPlug drives. Also, the uploader software doesn't seem to work very well. Can we have the old way of sync back? (The one where you can specify everything through the web interface.) It seemed to work pretty well.
Hi nouveaupogo,
If your files aren't getting updated using Sync in Uploader, please contact Support. They'll likely provide instructions to retrieve logs and perhaps ask for a sample file to figure out what is going on.
Sign In to my.pogoplug.com and 'Submit a support ticket' using 'Help Center'.

Hi Cramill
Please sit tight, our software suites will be integrated in the next 10-14 days.
For the time being, backup management from computer to Pogoplug device will remain in the desktop software.
We've already forwarded the request to continue to manage backups in the Web UI.
In the meantime, though not formerly tested, some users report success using http://goflexnet.pogoplug.com to manage backups through the Web UI.

The goflexnet link doesnt let you select a source other than from the pogoplug connected hard drive either. Its the same as the normal web interface.
Also, the new pogoplug uploader deletes the sync settings if you dare to close it. Terrible terrible terrible. AND it wont sync the files anyway.
Ooooooohhhhhhhhh Pogoplug!!! What have you gone and done THIS time! The amendments cant come soon enough, unless of course you arent interested in credibility in the marketplace.
Although I'm thankful that Pogoplug Browser has finally been updated to also incorporate the original Pogoplug software, so that two different Pogoplug programs don't have to be running at the same time, Pogoplug Browser is still VERY poor software.
If it weren't for goflexnet.pogoplug.com , I would NOT be using Pogoplug AND I'd make sure to tell everybody how Pogoplug ruined my.pogoplug.com and made Pogoplug virtually useless.
However, as long a goflexnet.pogoplug.com is still available, I'll refrain from doing that.
But until Pogoplug Browser is improved AND my.pogoplug.com is changed to provide the same functionality as goflexnet.pogoplug.com , there is no way I can recommend Pogoplug to others.
