Hi TonyE
This is Christopher, head of Customer Outreach here at Pogoplug.
The 'Remember me' feature at my.pogoplug.com has always been a 'keep me logged in as long as I don't log out' feature.
If this working differently for you in the past, your browser may have been caching or remembering your Sign In credentials.

pogoplug does not remember my log in id and or password anymore, eventhough the " remember me" check box is checked. This started when the new log in or welcom page was introduced couple weeks ago.
Please note that I do not log out of pogoplug. I just discovered that your NEW log in page might not be compatible with IE9. It works with Firefox. Thanks.
I'm Unable to log on via the website. It tells me that IE8 is no longer supported. Does anyone know if this is correct?
I am also unable to log on to the web access from work as of this morning. Unfortunately at work I have no control over which browser or updates I receive. I am running IE7 and cannot get a different browser or version. I was able to log into the web access until a couple days ago (last time I tried) but as of this morning it will not log in. I can see the web page, I can fill in my email address and password but when I hit sign in it reverts back to nothing being filled in. Any assistance available?
@smithrc2 I am in exactly the same boat as you with regards my work pc. Everything you said is the same for me. It's very annoying. I really wish CE would think about these things before they go about making changes. Perhaps if there is enough of us, we should all complain by submitting a request to support, and bombarding Pogoplugs Facebook and Twitter Feeds. It's high time us Pogoplug customers were listened to.
@Rob68: First, I did submit a support ticket. I have done a few of them for various reasons. It seems almost routine anymore. I would receommend you submit one too. I am almost to the point where I need to find another solution ... this one seems to cause more work then it helps!
You mention in your previous post that you have IE8 and it didn't work. I have IE8 at home (because I have to access some sites that do not support IE9 yet) and I can access the web version from there. Like I mentioned I have IE7 at work and it does not work but it did just two days ago and for the week or two before that. I can't believe it is a setting on my end since I did not change anything between attempts to access Pogoplug at work.
I have been told by both support and Christopher Louie on Pogoplugs Facebook page that because more than 94% of visitors to the pogoplug website no longer use IE7, they are no longer supporting it. My request to reinstate its use until my IT department update our pc's has been forwarded on to the Pogoplug product team. I doubt it will make a blind bit of difference though. If you are on Facebook, I suggest you send him a message of complaint too, explaining that you are unable to log on because you're browser is IE7.
With regards my IE8 issue. I'm unable to log in on my laptop with IE8, but I'm ok on my desktop pc with IE8. I guess my laptop version is missing one or two updates.
Let me know how you get on.
@Rob68: Appreciate the followup. I guess they made a business decision and I will have to do the same and take my business elsewhere. It sure would have been nice to let users know of pending changes BEFORE they happen but the only proactive communication I get is when they are trying to sell something else to me. Like I mentioned there is absolutely nothing I can do to change the browser version I have available at work. I guess my employer IT department will move up to IE8 at some point, but who knows when. Looks like the money I spent on pogo will be mainly wasted. I will have to look to create some other sort of network storage configuration or move to the cloud (and it will have to be one that still supports IE7).
I will play out my support ticket but am guessing I will end up the same place as you.
I will also try and find them on FB and see about submitting a complaint when I get some time at home.
@smithrc2: I've had a reply from Shimi at support and they have just told me that IE7 should still be supported. (Very Strange).
It appears to me that support don't know their own product sometimes. (or at least aren't kept up to date with the latest updates to their website). I'm on rest days at the moment but will certainly follow it up when I get back to work.
Hi all,
This is Christopher, head of Customer Outreach here at Pogoplug. On behalf of the Pogoplug team, we apologize for frustrations using IE7 and my.pogoplug.com.
We'll confer with Support to clear up any continued misinformation.
For the reasons quoted by Rob68, we have discontinued support for IE7 for the time being.
Nonetheless, I'll forward this to the Product team for consideration. In the meantime, though not formerly tested, users have reported success Signing In to your Pogoplug account using http://goflexnet.pogoplug.com
Kindest Regards,

Christopher,
Thanks. The link you sent does work and allow me to access from work using IE7. Appreciate the use. Hopefully this site will stay up until my IT folks upgrade the browser or until the Product team provides IE7 support again.
Appreciate the assistance.
Ron
I use Firefox 7 and your site tells me at login that my browser is not supported. I ignore the message and can still use the site. But it keeps popping up. Also, I use firefox 3 at work and it told me the same message, but again I was able to ignore it and use the site.
I think you have faulty code in your login page. If you don't support firefox 7, you might as well close up shop and go sell biscuits or something. It is amazing a company with this much momentum has constantly broken their service.
PS: Why do i have to have a separate login for the forum? So stupid.
check ur remeber me fuctionality without logout from your account,
and again try to login than its working fine

Problem Pogoplug remembering id and password is solved. It turns out that pogoplug does not present a legitimate log-in page. go to seagate flex net: http://goflexnet.pogoplug.com Log in once and check remember password. Ater that pogoplug log-in will work.
The cloud... is it still relevant? I am leaning towards getting a serious device to replace pogoflop. This company is devolving into a quirky, poorly supported, lame solution. I am switching to something like a Synology device (rave reviews, btw) as soon as I can, and then this headache of a product will soon be just a fading memory.
Pogo... are your developers really that lazy that they have to deliver constantly changing standards? Make it work for all browsers. Period. Spoiled and lazy, cut and past coders will eventually make your service irrelevant.
There are tons of softwares and devices that support almost all versions of all browsers and almost all versions of all mainstream operating systems, even back to windows 95. We dont need all the animation and fancy glitter. Just hire a dev team that can write some real code that delivers a stable solution that embraces the web community instead of being exclusionary and forcing them to adjust, adapt amd upgrade their browsers. (and stop re-inventing the UI conventions). Links, Text, Resources and Protocols -- that is the web. Everything else is code. Advanced newer browsers can have the new featues, but don't break the entire service for the other users. Fire the person that made the decision to drop browser support. I mean, come on, IE 7 and 8? And Firefox 7? This is unacceptable.
The good news is that it is fixable with a few keyboards, some coffee and a good dev team.
Sorry if this post throws a kink in your 4 hour work weeks. But China is starting to deliver some great code along with the gear they deliver today. The USA makes nearly no technology anymore. All that is left is services, coders, sales and marketing. We are a nation of chairs and keyboards. Well, China and India are coming after those seats too. Where will our butts be then?
You have to stay relevant and keep a loyal base of users. With all these missteps, you are not being loyal or stable. That will render you irrelevant.
