Hello,

I really do like your product and feel it will be very usefull to me.  There are however a few things that would make it even more user friendly.  I'll list them below.

1.  On photos if there was a place I could see the path to where this file is located.  Since you don't have an option to list them as a directory stucture (which I'm going to list next) it would be nice to see where the photo resides.  I need to do some cleanup of my pictures and know which folders I want to keep but can't tell out of the 3 exact photos which one to delete because I don't know which folder each is in.

2.  Can we have some way of seeing our photos in a directory structure?  I know and love a lot of things about iPhoto and Picassa Web but both of those places do timelines for photos and I for one don't like it structured that way and I know some do.  These are the two most wanted enhancements for iPhoto and for Picassa web and now Pogoplug.  Please give us the option at least.

3.  This would be a total nice to have feature.  I work for a software company and one of the requests that was made to us a year ago was to be able to make the web software more personal.  It would be nice if we could have the option to replace in the top left where it says Pogoplug with our own graphic and also be able to change the colors of the software.  I know there are many other pressing issues but these would be some really cool features that would make the cloud really feel like our own.

4.  Allow us to point our domain name to our my.pogoplug.com cloud so we could just type in for example http://bobscloud.com and it take you into your web site.

I have tons more ideas for features.  I work for a software company and deal with feature requests every day and no some are crazy and some are actually really good.  Customers are the best source of new features and thank you for allowing us to be able to post our ideas here.

Thanks,

Tony

Tony,

I am with you on these as well. I posted a needed features thread myself.

I am looking for things like WebDav access or direct access through the app (For me on the Mac) that it would open a Word Document in Word with a double click. Let me mount it as a drive on my Mac through WebDav would fix that.

I really need Offline access to files through the iOS application much like DropBox or Box.net

And let's get the ability to sync the Camera Roll on my iOS device to the te Pogoplug device versus just the cloud.

Yes, I think the pogoplug is a great start on what they have but to me it looks like they have a product manager or who ever making decisions that don't really have the client in mind.

I'm pretty sure it is a small business that is kind of growing faster than they have people for. I think there new interface for the web is a step backwards. For some reason they took away the "New Photos" area so you could just go in and see what new was added.

I for one am using the old interface with on of the NAS products they partnered with. At least with that interface I can have my mother in law see the new stuff I add without trying to remember the folder structure I told her to go look at.

It will be interesting to see of these enhancements fall on deaf ears or if they start implementing some of this stuff or make any kind of changes for that matter.

Hi Tony,

This is Christopher, head of Customer Outreach here at Pogoplug.

We'll pass your comments onto the Product team but allow me to comment on point:

1 & 2. Currently when viewing photos in filters, you can show the original path by selecting 'Show Folder' when viewing pictures in 'Photos'.

3 & 4. These features are part of our Pogoplug Business featureset. The custom domain feature does point to a virtual domain of my.pogoplug.com similar to Google Sites implementation.

Kindest Regards,

Christopher

Hi Erik,

We'll pass your comments onto the Product team.

Speaking to the ability to sync Camera Roll to devices, early pink/white Pogoplug's and black/white Pogoplug Business and Pogoplug Mobile have been updated for compatibility with our auto-upload feature in the iOS and Android mobile apps.

Compatiblilty for the rest of our devices is on our short term road map but we don't have a confirmed date for this update right now.

Kindest Regards,

Christopher

Chistopher,

Thanks for your reply.  I have 2 questions.

1.  I am in my photos on my.pogoplug.com and I do not see how to view photos in filters anywhere.  Can you give me steps to where I can see this?

2.  If the business pogoplug provides 3 & 4 how do I go about getting a business subsciption?  I purchased the black pogoplug last week.  They didn't offer anything other than that.

Thanks,

Tony

Hi Tony,

1. Your choices are All Photos and Timeline

2. We are considering an upgrade path to Pogoplug Business features for Pogoplug devices and even Pogoplug Cloud but we don't have a confirmed date for this release.
