Im not sure if its just me or what, but when I send a link out to a video to friends or family, they get the link and click on it, and then it takes them to the web page with the video....but from that point on nothing happens.....the space for the movie is just black and no movie will play.....It plays on my local network but not when sent via a link to someone.  Anyone else having a problem like this?????  I do have the premium software and am running the pogoplug pro.  Links to photos work like they are supposed to but any video file will not work via the link.....I have processed the files with handbrake and also pogoplug....both give the same results, no video.....any help would be appreciated...

Hm, so you say that the Pogoplug has finished transcoding the video, yet people on the other end cannot view the videos? I'd contact Pogoplug support with the details on the recipient's system to see if they can help, since the transcoding should allow this, and you also have the premium software.

I had the same issue. Share link (video) do not work. I had already issue a ticket with Pogoplug. They are working on resolving this issues. For the meantime, you can use this link, https://dockstar.pogoplug.com/ to share video until they resolve the problem.

You should also put a ticket in since this is #1 issue.

I have the same issue. There was a time when the Pogoplug cloud sample video did not work either! I was told to check my drive, reboot my PG, etc... but it doesnt even work on the PG Cloud!, so it's not my hardware....
Ticket is still open. ALso hate the fact that you can no longer 'collaborate'(require password) a single file, now a single file can only be openly shared on a link...

I am unable to share links or collaborate using the connected USB drives or local computers. Links are not being emailed out. I have rebooted my Pogoplug unit and still no change.

Similarly, while out of town for the holidays my Pogo plug unit also stopped displaying any drives connected to it and said "offline". I rebooted the unit again when we got home and everything started working again. This is not the first time this has happened.

This is becoming VERY frustrating and makes me very hesitant to invest my money into additional Pogoplug products and services.

Is this a hardware or software services problem? I know I'm not the first person with this issue. What is being done to resolve it?

Having the exact same problem, ran through hand brake i can view it on the my pogoplug site but when i try to share the link black screen on the same browser. Side note the download link works...

I have no problems being a beta tester, especially for Pogoplug, since I think it is a great idea. The problem is that I'm no longer ready to recommend it to anyone, especially family or friends, as a nice high tech addition for their home! There is no reason anyone should have to test out any link they create with Pogoplug to see if it actually works before they can send it out to friends!! And I found myself doing just that. Temporary Solution: I dont use pogoplug for sharing links to friends or family.

I still get complaints from the family when the streaming to the Xbox stops working. For some unknown reason every so often, the settings to stream are reset to disabled. Oddly enough, probably corresponds to software updates by pogoplug. UNACCEPTABLE. When checking with Support, I always get their version of Eject, Remove, Install the drive to pogoplug again, delete this or that file, and let us know.... it must be your drive, run a checkdisk,....

The whole pogoplug concept is so exciting and unique, it makes you giddy. Until you try it!

Here's what baffles me the most. My Core i7 2.2 gigahz laptop cannot play a single movie off of my.pogoplug.com, without the dual core 800mhz pogoplug spending 40 hours to transcode it.

Yet, my single core 1Ghz iphone 4 and 800 mhz Nook Color can both stream movies from the website without any transcoding (don't get me started on the iphone app!).

There is just no rhyme or reason, but lots of promise. I'm still amazed at what my new $20 device is doing, despite the quirks...
