Re: multiple computers syncing via Browser to a folder--I can't see why this wouldn't work. You're correct that it would be a one-way sync. I haven't tested this though with multiple machines. I'd contact support@pogoplug.com to have them check out your individual setup and see what's happening.
By way of background, I've got 3 Macs all running Lion all containing folders that I'd like to keep synchronized. I've used a combination of Powerfolder, DropBox, and Zumodrive (the latter 2 to enable collaboration, access on my iOS devices, etc.) to do this, but I was hoping to consolidate to a Pogoplug. I've purchased a Pogoplug classic (not interested in media sharing) and have a drobo raid array attached to it. I've tried using the "regular" pogoplug software as well as the seemingly newer pogoplug browser software. Other than 1-directional backups, the former didn't really seem to have a sync function. The latter "sort of " works if using a single computer to synchronize folders with the pogoplug (it doesn't seem to sync deletions, thus acting like a back up rather than a true sync). However, I cannot get multiple computers all pointed at the same folder to sync. Any thoughts? I'm a bit surprised this doesn't work out of the box; many products do this pretty flawlessly (aforementioned programs, plus sugarsync, etc.). Thanks.
