I had shrared a folder using a link that anyone could use to view a file on my pogoplug, using the old website.  The new website doesn't think that the folder is shared but the link is still active!  Since it doesn't think it is sharing there is no way to disable it.

Hi Orion

We take the security of your personal data very seriously.

Can you check something for us?

All previous shares should appear under the Sharing tab as one the 'Collaborate Folders'

Do you see it there?

Hi Orion,

We have an update.

QA reproduced this symptom with public links. We're logging a bug and will resolve this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you can use dockstar.pogoplug.com to disable the public link and recreate it using pogoplug.com.

We confirmed that old email shares have migrated to 'Collaborate Folders'.

Kind Regards,

Go to an alternate site where sharing works such as here

On my.pogoplug.com files shared with me is now called "collaborate" (not very descriptive)

and files I share are known as Links (files I share was a better description).

On the new my.pogoplug.com site, you can list files shared with me by e-mail, which is helpful, but they're removed the list by e-mail feature on their "links" approach (files I share) which was useful to fix the problem you are descibing.

What should happen is merge the ability to list both files shared with me, and files I share, each list should allow grouping by e-mail, so you know who is sharing with you, and who you are sharing with (we don't need collaborate or link, share is a fine word and has ubiquitous meaning -- that is, everybody knows what it means <<grion>> ).

They removed public shares on the new site, but they're still on the alternate site. Well, they removed USEFUL public shares, the kind that could be embedded in other html files.

For others concerned about this giant security flaw, it's not so much a flaw as a change in the way they support those of us who want to share files and directories, and have friends that do the same.
