not sure if this is the best place to post this but i was wondering if anyone else has issues with a few of the layouts under jukebox.  when you have an artist with one cd, it goes straight into the the album but doesn't give you the name of it.  once you click on a song it goes to the artwork with the title.  i think having the title listed just like you have it with an artist with multiple albums would be a nice enhancement.  2nd complaint is under the Genre's tab, when going into one it just dumps all your songs into one long list instead of indexing the band then album.  this would be helpful when you want to go looking for a cd from your genre search without thinking hard about the name of the artist you want to listen to.

i just picked up the pogoplug today and loaded it up with 80 gigs of music.  1st index took about 3 hrs and gave me a number of unnamed tracks even though the id3 tracks were correct.  2nd index took about 15 minutes and fixed all the errors.  so far i am loving the device and think it might be exactly what i need.  next task is turning on a syncing folder for new music, will see if this will accomplish what i am expecting it to do.  thank you guys, i like your product but would like to see the app cleaned up a bit if possible.

HI mardenhill,

We've taken another look at your requests and

1) What view are speaking of in Jukebox? We did a quick test navigating to an artist in Jukebox and the album name was clearly displayed. http://bit.ly/vb5vWz

2) We also tested Genre's view and the album name does display for us. http://bit.ly/vA5fZZ

Feel free to mock the tunes depicted in these screenshots. :-))

Hi Christopher,

It looks like the Jukebox app on the computer displays correctly but the jukebox within the iPhone/iPad app doesn't.  I have a number of artists with multiple albums and when you select them the next screen shows all the albums.  If you browse an artist with only one album loaded it skips the page of what the album is and goes straight into the songs.  Once you select a song to play the artwork will come up with the song, album and artist but I feel that even though there is only 1 album you should still navigate thru the album screen.  I also just noticed that if you have an multiple artists with the same album name it lumps them together.  I have Peter Muphy "Dust" and Screaming Trees "Dust" albums in completely separate folders but when I browse the artists within the iPhone jukebox, "Dust" by Peter Murphy isn't listed but when you go to play "Dust" by Screaming Trees the Peter Murphy album is 1st followed by Screaming Trees.

As for Genres, on the iPhone/iPad app it lumps them all into one giant playlist without separating them out by artist.  When I go thru Files on the iPhone/iPad I can access my music folder along with the organization I setup when I loaded my files to start with.  Since I saved all my music to Genre specific folders on my external drive I can browse to them and see everything I have loaded.  This is fine for now but since the jukebox portion is supposed to read all the ID3 tags this shouldn't be necessary.

I have images from my phone I can send your way, tried to upload them here but wouldn't work.

Hi Mardenhill,

Using an iPad to try to reproduce what you are seeing.

1) We understand what you're seeing in Jukebox views - I'll log this as a feature enhancement to the effect 'always show album name before showing song titles in Artists view'

2) Could you post a screenshot of what you see in Artists with albums of the same name?

3) We think we understand what you're describing here - would 'always show artists before showing song titles in Genre view'

Hi Christopher,

Here are some screen shots on the "multiple artists with the same album name issue".

Artist:  Peter Murphy no album called "Dust"

Artist:  Screaming Trees (you can see Dust as an album)

When choosing "Dust" from Screaming Trees album list there are 19 tracks with the Peter Murphy album and Screaming Trees album merged into 1 list.

Shows Peter Murphy with correct ID3 tags playing the 1st track.

For issue 1:  'always show album name before showing song titles in Artists view' should fix the issue.

For issue 3:  'always show artists before showing song titles in Genre view' should fix this as well.  they would also need to make sure that when selecting Genre then Artist that the same thing as issue 1 is addressed if there is only 1 album for that specific artist.

hope this helps
