Since Picasa creates and saves the pics in a subfolder under the original folder the Pogoplug will pick up both the edited and saved (original) pics.
I typically just delete the saved originals since I no longer need them once edited. I don't know if there is an option in Picasa as to where it saves the original pics but you may want to look into that.
If there isn't that option then you would either have to manually move the saved pics or create a script or batch file that moved them to a folder that the Pogoplug does not have access to.

For some reason I see duplicate pitures appear..I think I know the reason and if confirmed I can not do anything about I will be extremely frustrated...
I edit my pictures in Google Picassa so it stores the original in an original folder and the edited picture in the "normal" folder. I get it that if I tell Pogo to synch my pictures folder and there are multiple copies then I am going to get multiple copies in PP.
However, when viewing a slideshow it would be a nice feature if it could only display file names that are unique. Part of my reason in getting the PP software was to share pictures. I am finding the software extremely inflexible or I need to be coached up on how to use PP. I think I need to start using PP as a backup for my files, but for sharing I probably need to start using Shuuterfly :(

The other thing to mention is that if I complete a custom slideshow I am presented with duplicates again and I do not know which picture is the edited picture and which picture is the original...
