I stopped using it a couple of months ago, it was such a huge disappointment. It took forever to upload files to the thing and was never able to acces it from other computers.
so, sadly my veredict is 0/10
Categories: Pogoplug Classic
have had pogoplug pro for at least 6months'
activated ok set up free software ok on xp pro pc .first issue no router in list but managed to get it connected but still not in list.connected drives 1 8gb lexar fat 32 flash drive and western digital 500gb passport drive .pogoplug pro light flashing amber so go on forums check whats wrong cant fix it so put in ticket to support.recieve email but doesnt fix problem.i work out its western digital passport drive because its got an embedded smartware which auto runs when inserted into pc it is disabled but cant be taken off so check` if you are thinking of a western digital passport hdd for your pogoplug some of these drives dont have it.purchased a 1tb seagate go flex desktop hdd works fine.was using pogoplug pro on its wifi .enabled streaming to xbox 360 had issues with stopping after 30mins put this down to the wifi from pogoplug to router as when i used Lan cable it worked ok also xbox 360 is cabled to router .the router is a sky sagem g unit {crap}.tried firefox browser works ok but safari seems better looking .download video and music through browser its slow due uploads speeds on network dont know if better router will improve it .would say watching video through browser would be useless because of this .listening to music seems ok but as for the quality not sure how to check it.have emailed links to other people to share files using pogoplug feature and thats fine.had 3 devices streaming video from pogoplug pro and it worked ok
WHATS BAD
no list of external hdd
no mention of upload speeds causing issues
support not good enough
any device using your router causing video to stop or stutter
WHATS GOOD
being able to access files from browser anywhere
streaming to xbox 360 and ps3
being able to share files via email
MY VERDICT
7/10
most new routers allow sharing with them having usb ports for hdd`s
would i reccomend it YES but at the right price
