I got ahmao straightened out, but it was a long road.

He had bought a Pro off of eBay, and it turned out that the kernel modules had been zero'd, rcS removed, etc etc.

We actually had to soft-load Arch Linux ARM onto the device fia tftp'ing the kernel, and then restore the factory file system to the NAND.

And later I replaced lib/module and usr/local from Debian lenny with Arch linux ones, the Debian can also boot.
