I have the Pogoplug Pro and I know the Pogoplug Video was recalled due to heating issues. Mine is warm but not hot with one external (powered) hard drive attached.

Are these devices safe to keep on 24/7...just concerned since the other model had heating issues.

The running hot issue was with the Video model only. I haven't heard anyone mention a problem with any other model overheating.
I leave mine on all the time.
