Hi,

Since two days I have the problem of copying files on my pogoplug-drive.

Everytime I try to copy something on the drive I get an error message saying my storage would be full, which is not the case and possible since I still have 1.9 TB free.

The drive worked very well in its beginning and it is possible to for example save things straight on the drive as well as copy things from the drive. Just the adding of files is denied.

I am running an Lenovo T60p laptop with Windows XP, and would really need some help with this one!

I have the exact same problem. I'm using Allway sync, which works fine on all my other external drives.

It was working perfectly with Pogoplug for months but suddenly began getting this message: "There is not enough space on the disk. (80070070), filename: Error while copying "___________________" to "__________________", fs::copyitem::overwrite_failed

Like you, the destination drive has 1+ Terabytes free. The source drive has 51 GB free. The total amount of data being copied on this particular job is 2-3 GB. Again, I've run this same backup job on the same source and target drives without any problems for several months.

Allway tech support asked if there were 4+ gig files being transferred (e.g. a Fat 32 problem) but that isn't an issue. They're stumped and I'm stumped.

Similar problems here. Really getting sick of these problems.

It's like having a tiger by the tail. The features are great, and the software is getting better, but each time a new feature is added, it tends to bite the developers in one way or another.

Imagine changing a software system that is in constant use, I'm sure it's not easy unless it's a multi-billion dollar company like Google or Microsoft.

I just hope they figure this out without losing their minds, and getting everyone completely annoyed.

It would help a lot if they had a news headline when you come to my.pogoplug.com describing any known problems, at least you'd know that they're aware and hopefully coming up with fixes.

The lack of feedback from cloud engines is a customer service failure. It should be the first topic on "Freqnently asked questions" -- that is "What's wrong with the website today" and let them provide an answer, explanation, and when a problem might get fixed. Admitting problems is honest, hiding from them is, well, not a good idea.

I had a similar error message. Not sure what caused it, but i unmounted the drive from my pogoplug, connected it to my computer and ran disk utilites on it. It worked (was fixed) for a while but it came back. I cant say if it is related to any "upgrades" or not but it may make sense.

Did you document the upgrade/changes in relation to the errors to find a correlation?
If so, Perhaps a Firmware upgrade to the Pogoplug Hardware is needed?

I'm getting a similar problem now as well. Was working fine a few hours ago...but now I can't move files to my Pogoplug over my LAN without getting an error message. Running Ubuntu 10.10 (64bit)

I have the same problem with a Thinkpad T60 but my Win 7 desktop writes to the drive with no problems. Any answers? Thanks.

I recently posted my "fix" on the buffalo cloustor pogoplug forum -- hadn't used it since my November posting.

I was getting ready say goodbye to the dirve, and use the hardrive for other purposes.

I tried one last work around -- create a map (shortcut) to the cloudstor P drive in Windows 7 and then direct my sync software (Allway Sync) to the mapped drive ("Z") instead of the cloudstor P.

It worked! Where I had been getting "disk full" errors, even if I was just copying 1 or 2 updated files, I was immediately able to copy and updatethousands of files. Finally!!!

I realize this doesn't solve the other problem of syncing the hard drive outside from outside the local network, but at least I can update it from SOMEWHERE.

Mr. Bigsby, Thank you very much, that trick worked!!! I would never have thought of that. You're right in that at least I can still use the Cloudstor to back up my computer. Thanks again.

Glad it worked for you. I wonder if someone could explain why it works. I'd like some insight on what the underlying problem is.
