Bought a Pogoplug a few days ago and attached three 1TB external hard drives to it. Device appeared to work fine for the first day. Then suddenly we couldn't access anything on the Pogoplug device. Disconnected the drives from Pogoplug, and now we can't even access the drives when connected directly to a PC or a MAC.

One of those drives held very important work archives and the others held lots of personal files that we can no longer access. The drives have never given us problems until now. Looking at the forums, this problem has happened to many others as well. If someone could help, we really need our PC to recognize those drives again.

It happened to alot of people. My guess is that it has something to do with the new updates that will come with the release of the pogoplug mobile. As of writing this post the web interface also is no longer working. Cloud Engines must be working on an update or something. Hopefully it is fixed soon. I use my pogoplug everyday.

Well, it stinks. I use Seagates DOckstar and I now have a dead dock. Seagate claims they lost support when they went to 3.0. I went back to 2.5, it worked for awhile, then unregistered, noe it doesn't kknow my email and password from my PC, but it does from the web. Frustrating.

I got 2 answers 1. From seagate, they claim PP blew it away w/ 3.0 so told me to roll back to 2.5.5, 2 days its working. The reply I got from Pogo was :
I have reviewed your account and I can see your Device but no software registered to ig***@optonline.net (Please confirm if this is correct)
To help resolve your issue please provide some additional information:
Are you using any Antivirus or Firewall software on your computer?
Do you currently have version 2.5.5 > please ensure that it is removed completely before you install the latest version of the software?
Please try to install from http://software.pogoplug.com if you are using and Antivirus please turn off (Only Briefly while you install)
After you install please ensure you restart your comuter before launching the software.

In regards to your software login, please select > forgot password option> When you reset your password please set it to something like test123
If these instructions don't help or I have mis-understood your request, please reply to this mail,

I asked if that would get me back to the dual drive behavior I had w/ 2.5.5 but haven't ecieved an answer. You have to open a ticket.

Already opened a ticket and send them my logs. Two days and no feedback.

Yeah.. Seagate says its a problem, and pogo says its not. Those dockstars cost 100 bucks, you can't use it as a normal dock either so w/o pp its useless.

Your pictures are safe. If your external drive doesn't work, you will have to remove the drive from the case and install it in either another external case or inside a computer tower.

I also found out that it's a PP issue. I thought I lost thousands of pictures but I just removed the drive array from PP and hooked it up to a spare windows machine I had. It mounted and all the files are there, just for some reason PP is deaf and blind to them.

I'd remove the drive from PP control and hook it up as a usb drive to a windows machine if you want to access them until this mess is sorted out.

I bought my PP in hopes of using it's NAS storage for far longer than the 40 days it worked. Lost power one time and now the amber light just flashes with no sign of life. I reinstalled the software and now I see the "P" drive showing with 2TB's free on a 2TB disk. I had about 700GB on it before the crash. I will try to remove the drives as they contained some very important files. I am petrified that it wiped out my files. What a massive, massive design flaw. Do you guys have a QC department?

I am sorely disappointed.
