Just loaded v 4.0.5.4 on a Sumsung Charge and have a few issues with the way things are sorted and the lack of a SEARCH function.  (suggestions & constructive criticisum)

1. Under SONGS, the songs appear to be sorted by file name, not the ID3 tag TITLE field.
This causes issues, since most ripping software uses the default forma Track/Title.mp3"
    to name files.  (example "01 - Saturday In The Park.mp3)    Now instead of songs being sorted by name/Title, they are sorted by Track #  (i.e. 01-songname…. , 02 – songname…. ,  03 – Songname…”)

2.  ALBUMS tab is actually  ALBUM / ARTIST,  when albums are listed there are multiple
listings for the same album, if it contains multiple artists.   There should only be one
entry per album in an ALBUMS listing.   Makes it very hard to scroll and find things when you.have 5-20 different entries for the same album.

3.  Songs listed under an Album are not listed by track.  This is totally undesirable, since some  albums are meant to be listened to in a specific order or when songs fade from one to the  next.  Also very bad for audio books or self-improvement CD’s..

Some of these issues are the reason I don’t like listening to music on my Ipod any longer.
( It’s not a good idea to model your code after someone else’s bad idea).

Are any of these problems going to be addressed in future releases ?

This has been a problem since the Android version was released almost a year ago. I have had several trouble tickets open on this exact issue and it has never been fixed. I keep getting told that it will be fixed in the next release. IT HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED! I would not hold your breath on this one. I'm thinking I'll start a paid subscription on Spotify if this doesn't get sorted out soon.
#3 is the one that bothers me the most.
If your music library is well sorted on your PC, you can listen to it by browsing to My Drives, selecting your drive and folder, then selecting the artist, then album and playing your files there. But your files must then be numbered in order to show up in the correct numerical/alphabetical order.
So still crappy.
GET WITH THE PROGRAM PP!

This is the same issue I have been annoyed about as my music files are in order, the information in the files are up to date but PP doesn't 'view' them correctly and therefore albums are not listed at all but the music is if I scroll through hundreds listed as unnamed.

It was working great but something recent has messed it up. Shame that I have to goto 'file' then manually find the directory when the jukebox portion used to work just fine.

Is it worth the effort to open a ticket with PP Support or just deal with it being a sloppy mess?

Actually, I've tried this and that didn't even work. I manually ordered the songs in album order, same thing. They all show up in some random order. Really Cloud Engines, this isn't rocket science. Fix it already, this is getting embarrassing.

I have moved to Google Music. The drawback of GMusic is that you have to upload your music files (mine took about a week for everything to get there). However, Google Music plays my music in the correct order!!!! Now when I copy new albums to my music folder, Google Music automatically uploads it. I suggest you say bye bye to PP for music and hello to Google Music. It's free, so you may as well give it a try.

I've known about Google Music for awhile but was hesitant to try based on how they determine "legal" music since they delete any potentially infringing content. This discussion gave me the kick I needed to try it, so far so good.

But see for me that defeats the purpose of purchasing PogoPlug Pro (and the new PogoPlug Mobile)  as I want to keep my data on MY drives and use the built in Jukebox.

While I am certain I had the tags updated correctly as I am anal (please I get all wiggy when album art is missing). Anyway, I took an album and used TuneUp to update the tracks with the full information.

I am not sure at the moment what it did to those tracks but the album appears under the Albums listing and the song tracks are no longer using the 'filename' but the actual 'track title'.

So, I'll try and decipher what exactly I was missing but from now on, I am cleaning my tracks via TuneUp as it not only helps my iTunes library get into shape it's correcting the issue with PogoPlug's Jukebox.  Obviously PogoPlug is looking for specific information that I was missing but I can't imagine at the moment what that information is...maybe a PogoPlug guru can shed light as to what this app needs or looks for in a music file?

adios.
