gspca and uvc modules for 2.6.22.18?

Does anyone have them pre-rolled?  Would really like to use them on a webcam, for my backyard weather station... hosted by, you guessed it, a Pogoplug.

OK, silence says a lot... I got it. I ended up just going to Debian ( a la JeffDoozan ) and using that setup. The modern kernel is great, lots of features available, plus easy to update.

Installing it was a snap, also.

So, I checked out the http://davysweather.dyndns.org weather page, pretty neat. I was thinking about setting up a cat-cam for the humble abode. Any suggestions?

TBH, I'd run the Debian installation at Doozan Forum. It was pretty painless.

The kernel (straight Debian, iirc) has pretty much all the bells and whistles. It runs great - once I got my connectivity problems solved (wireless USB stick now has PowerManagement turned off), it has been flawless.

A simple webcam is all you need ... I'm using a pretty basic Logitech webcam - can't remember the specs or model, but they are listed in the System Status/Info link near the bottom of my site.

(not knocking Pogoplug's native software - I _love_ it ... perfect for my normal home&work applications/uses ... but the Optware feed (not knocking it either, as I'm a contributor via the nslu2 dev group) is not in the same level as Debian. The kernel modules are essential, and I've never seen a package manager truly better that apt in Debian ... it is so easy to work with and Debian is so well supported/polished ... optware sometimes has a few rough edges ... but not having the kernel modules is a real show-stopper... it looks like we can only get this functionality by booting it into Debian (or ArchLinux for ARM), I guess...)
