Newbie question - I have a large HD attached to Pogoplug that acts as my main computer's backup. There are some folders on it that I just don't need or want remote access to. Is there a way to "hide" certain files or folders so they are not indexed by Pogoplug?

You could try creating a folder that starts with a . in its name, such as '.noindex', '.hidethis' or '.winbackup' as examples.

Thank you. So, placing a period at the beginning of the name will prevent PP from showing it? Good to know.

Assuming you are running the Pogoplug uploader.
In File > Preferences > Remote Access you have a folder turned on for remote access.
If you look at that folder on your computer you will have a .cedata folder that the program creates. You will not see that in the Pogoplug web browser either. So it should work for you.

Your best bet though is just use the Remote access settings to choose which folders you want to share and which ones you don't. Instead of sharing a folder with a bunch of folders underneath pick the folders you want to share and just turn those on.
