I would try simply uninstalling and reinstalling the Pogoplug program. This can often fix problems such as this. If that doesn't work, try running a permissions repair using Disk Utility. If that doesn't work, then contact Pogoplug support, since it should work fine with Lion. You can email them at support@pogoplug.com.
I have just upgraded my iMac to Lion and my pogoplug drives are missing. A month age I updated a 2008 macbook and had problems for days but now those drives usually show up. But the imac is where I use them since they are all the graphics files.
Did anyone have this issue and how did it get resolved?
Wont work for me either, the system preferences app force closes all the time whenever I try to use the pogo plug pref pane. Every time, I get an error telling me that it has to close. The support has been of no help whatsoever. Alls I want to do is get my iTunes active copy set up but I can't even get the program running.
Which version are you using? I've gone back to 2.5.5 because it doesn't try to make your Mac into a pogoplug device. I want my Mac to be a client, not a server, and version 2 doesn't expose my computer (by default) on the LAN as a pogoplug device.
So are you running the version 3 (that makes your Mac a device) or version 2 (that leaves your Mac in Client mode) ??
If you can't get Pogoplug to work on the latest Mac OS, that would be a problem for me at this point since I have come to rely on LAN storage, and remote storage at another physical location. I could go through my.pogoplug.com website, but that's not an ideal solution.
