Netatalk 2.2.x on the Pogoplug ?  Anyone using it?

I have Optware installed right now, w/ Samba2 chugging along very nicely.  Ideally, I'd like to set up my PogoPlug to be an afpd-based TimeMachine.

Before I muck things up (read: break stuff that doesn't need to be broken, or pummel the good performance I have right now)...

has anyone out there had experiences installing Netatalk 2.2 (or higher) on their Pogoplug?

If so, can you please share any oddities, tips, tweeks or problems you saw?  How is your performance for reads and writes?
