Windows 7 64 Bit Home Prem

with I think 2nd gen Pogo plug.

I first set up the desktop app & ipad app-  Pogo plug sees those files fine.

Then I plugged in the Pogo plug and a USB drive.

But Pogo Plug does NOT see this drive- even after a refresh.

Here is the msg:

 "Your Pogoplug enabled device does not have a hard drive attached.

To get started, please attach an external hard drive to any of the available USB ports."

What now?

(yes , I tried a file checker on the portable USB hard drive).

Also - how do I get rid of the .cedata folder on my desk top?
