Hello All- a friend and I are attempting to get SAMBA installed so that we can access our movies and music on an Apple TV. We are both trying to follow the following: http://www.ctrlaltdeleted.com/?p=3

However, it doesn't seem to be working. We get stuck at the step wget http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/unstable/ipkg-opt...

We keep getting the following error when trying to run that command: Connecting to ipkg.nslu2-linux.org (140.211.169.161:80)wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Please help! Thanks in advance!

Jeff

Your link:

Correct link:

Thanks, that worked! I am now getting stuck on this step:

# set it up
tar -xOvzf ipkg-opt_*_arm.ipk ./data.tar.gz | tar -C / -xzvf -
mkdir -p /opt/etc/ipkg
echo "src cross http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/uns
table" > /opt/etc/ipkg/armel-feed.conf
echo "src native http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/native/u
nstable" >> /opt/etc/ipkg/armel-feed.conf

Any suggestions?

Jeff, I was running into the same issues. I found that merging the two sets of instructions worked for me.

I would run through one and get stuck, then run through another and get stuck, so i kinda did them side by side and everything is installed as it should.

The issue i am encountering now is just how to configure the smb.conf file as i am on a mac and my network settings are different with a time capsule than a regular netgear/cisco router...
