I second this notion.
Hi all,
I know the userbase is currently small since the device was just released, but an updated WebOS app to support the TouchPad would rock! It really is a good device, and being able to hit all of my content from the Touchpad would make it that much better.
Thanks for your consideration!

Help... can't get pogo yahtzee to load on my new touchpad. I've tried another flash based game as well and it won't work.... Any suggestions.
I can't get POGO Yahtzee to load on my HP TOUCHPAD. Anyone here have some advice?
I am also waiting for an HP touchpad app from Pogoplug. With 1.1 million touchpads outthere I think a lot of people are going to want this app.
Discontinued product is not worth the effort for an application. Without further development and updates the touchpad will be useless in a matter of months as newer and better products evolve.
You need to pay more attention to the news. HP is discontinuing the hardware not the webOS. Webos is going to be updated and is better than any other mobile Os out there. It will be licenced to third party tablet makers in the future. By refusing to make an app Pogoplug is going to be the bigger looser.
There is a reason why touchpads were discontinued. It is because no one bought them. It is not worth the time for a few thousand touchpad users, even more so when maybe 1% of those own a pogoplug. Do you need an app for about 5000 users?
I appreciate all you said and I do know this as I only got it via my hubby who got the deal as they were discontinued before they hit the market. And they weren't discontinued because nobody bought them. They didn't market them and HP is getting out of the computer business. However.. this pad plays many other games. So far only pogo and 1 other don't work... so I'm happy.. as POGO isn't everything.
You have to realize that it is no sweat to port an existing app over to webOS. That is the beauty here. To a dev team it is 1-2 days work, simple. Or even make the Palm app available for the Touchpad, even easier. I am a pogoplug owner and an HP Touchpad owner, and I am requesting it as a customer.
HP is currently making more Touchpads, this would be an easy way to sell a bunch of Pogoplugs to all of the new TP owners (which is much, much more than a few thousand). No sense in arguing with a smart business decision.
I can't get Pogoplug to stream movies on my PC because it wants to optimize it and nothing ever happens. I have streamed MP4 video to my iPhone but only when connected to Wifi

Hi there,
Please make sure the codec and container is supported for your particular video. Check out our Support KB article here http://bit.ly/iQv4EF
If your video file is supported and you can still can't stream from your PC, please login to my.pogoplug.com and 'Submit a support ticket' using 'Help Center'.

I'm a Pogoplug, Touchpad AND a Pre customer. When I got my Pre, I was really happy to see my videos or listen to my music using the POGO plug for WebOS on my Pre. So, when I got my touchpad I was so excited to be able to do the same thing on this device, but searching on the HP App Store there was no Pogoplug App (WTF?!?!) so I decide to send email to the support to see what is going on and they said that there is no enough users using the TP to create an app for it (?!?!). I understand that and I have no problem with that, BUT AT LEASE MAKE THE APP FOR THE PRE, TOUCHPAD COMPATIBLE!!!!
I don't like to see the little screen of the Pre version on a touchpad screen but at least I will be able to get to my files!
The TP comes with Box.net App that give me 50GB free from start and that is nice, but they will try to change your account to a pay account and I'm thinking: "Why do I need to pay for space when I have all the space I need right here in my house!" I don't like to be moving stuff around just to have it available anywhere, why? I already have it available, just not reachable via the TP.
Pogoplug Team: Just because we are the minority, we can be forgotten!
Just saying!
@Rock Touchpad were discontinued not because 'nobody bought them' but because of the knee jerk/ stupid decision from HP executives. Upon release, HP sold as many Touchpads as any other tablet manufacturer except Apple. HP was trying to be in direct competition with Apple which was pretty foolish. Instead they should have set their goals to be in competition with non-IOS tablets and should have continued manufacturing Touchpads. Now with millions of touchpads in consumer hands after the fire sale, touchpad are the second highest selling tablet after Ipad and HP recent announcement of continuing the production of touchpads, it is non-nonsensical from PogoPlug's part not to develop and app for WebOS. WEbOS is not not going anywhere and sooner or later we will see a Pogoplug app for WebOS.
@rock few thousand touchpad users? Are you serious? A conservative estimate is more than 1.5 million touchpads have been sold so far.
Before the fire sale at $99 they sold next to no touchpads. Look at the numbers before. No one bought them untill it hit the right price. Yes they did sell millions of the
But not untill it was discontinued and the prices were cut dramatically.
Please read my post again. The numbers of touchpads sold were no where close to ipads and that's what HP was aiming for, which was very naive of them, but that doesn't mean no touchpads were sold. How many Toshiba Thrives have been sold or how many Lenovo IdeaPads have been sold? But is Toshiba or Lenovo discontinuing their tablet manufacturing? No, like I wrote it was a really foolish decision from HP execs; therefore the new HP CEO has mentioned HP "needs to be in the tablet business" and will make another go of it
http://allthingsd.com/20110816/ouchpad-best-buy-sitting-on-a-pile-of-unsold-h...
Read the numbers. From this article it said that bestbuy bought nearly 300,000 touchpads and magaged to only sell 25,000 of them before the fire sale and asked that hp take back their leftover stock. The story was the same for all major retailers.
I also, would use a WebOS app. So would my children. We have 3 DockStars, 3 TouchPads.
Owner of 2 pink pogoplugs and 1 touchpad---please make an app available! I would pay for the app if it was reasonably priced. Or at least release code so someone can make an app. Thank you.
please release pogoplug app for touchpad. since you already have mobile version touchpad would not be that difficult.
I own HP touchpad and pogoplug.. I would like to see pogoplug app running in my touchpad.
Uhh, I found that Pogoplug just decide to check the browser and only allow FIREFOX, IE, safari, and Chrome to access the web Pogoplug. BUT that means HP Touchpad users have no way to access their media files in Pogoplug on their Touchpad...
Well, webOS users are much less than other mobile systems (although they said the selling number of Touchpad is No.2 tablet currently), but that's a little cruel to block all the ways to access our Pogoplug accounts on Touchpad...
work around: I install android on my touchpad. Pogoplug works grate and have more apps.
