It depends on how many files exactly, but a week sounds like a long time. Try rebooting the Pogoplug and see if it continues to process, if so, you may want to contact support.

About how long does the "Processing Media" stage take on a 1TB drive (nearly full) with lots of music and photos (and some movies)?
It's been processing media for around a week (and my Seagate Freeagent hard drive has been very noisy during the process) so I'm curious as to how much longer it may take?
Thanks
Thanks for the response, I did contact support and they did have me reboot the pogoplug as well as the drive. After the reboot the drive is still running noisy and it is still processing media, but I suppose that is normal since after the reboot it probably re-processes all of the files, correct?
Check your drive. I had a 500GB file with 120,000 files. It never would index them and finally let it run for about 2 days. I ended up having to throw the hard drive away cause it totally ruined the MBR and boot sectors on the drive. Couldn't format, erase, delete or add anything to the drive after that. Oh yeah, did tech support tell ya that when you reboot, it starts all over from scratch...
Good luck, but I'd take the drive off, connect to a real computer and make sure it's still a viable drive.
Pogoplug Pro seems to be junk. Cannot even show AVI files with "processing" WTF is that? Funny how this wasn't mentioned in their advertising?
Sending it back....
