Try this, it works on at least the newer models (Pro/Video/"basic"[B0x]) that are based on the PLX oxnas 7820 chips, for me:
1- Insert a 4GB usb flash drive, and wait for the pogoplug to acknowledge it.
2- ssh into the pogoplug
3- cd /tmp/.cemnt/mnt_sda1/
4- mkdir network
5- mount -t cifs -o username=none //ipofnas/share ./network
6- go to the my.pogoplug.com web interface
7- go to the setting page, media settings
8- tell it to re-scan the the drive.
You will however, need to re-run steps 5-8 on every reboot of the pogoplug however.
I would love to see the ability to mount a file share on another NAS or computer that is on the same network as the Pogoplug and make it accessable using the Pogoplug website/apps/etc. The reason for doing this is because I have an additional NAS on my server with two 2TB drives that I have in a RAID 1 configuration and it would be great if I could have it show up as a drive/share on my Pogoplug. My NAS has a similair ability, but the Pogoplug software is much more polished at accessing files outside of my network.
Unfortunately I am running an original Pogoplug so it doesn't look like this would work for me at this time, but thanks for the info as I do plan to upgrade once they come out with one that supports USB 3.0 and/or eSATA!
