Basically, the previews are generated by the data embedded in each file.
The thumbnail preview is generated by scanning the meta-data embedded in each file.
The preview for video is generated by scanning the first few seconds of the video in question.
Consequently, you don't have a way using my.pogoplug.com to manually change this for videos or any files in the way you describe.

Is there a way to set your video to display a jpg or gif instead of a shot of the video itself in pogoplug? I noticed that you can do it for audio, but I can not figure out how for video.
