The cname would need to be something like Name: download.yourwebsite.com CNAME Record: my.pogoplug.com
This info might help. (towards the bottom) http://www.pogoplugged.com/article/14784/How-to-Set-Up-the-Custom-User-Interf...
I believe the Cname has to be working before the favicon will work but I just looked at mine and the favicon wasn't showing either like it used to.
I will contact support about it and see if they can help.
I have tried everything and looked all over, but I can't find an answer to this problem I'm experiencing. I'm trying to use a vanity domain name for my pogoplug to give to customers like download.mywebsitename.com or files.mywebsitename.com.
I setup the records change with my web host (godaddy.com) making a "cname (alias)" change of “download” to point to my.pogoplug.com, and after adding this I went to the pogoplug user interface and added download.pogoplug.com to the Domain name input section. After doing this I tested it out by emailing myself the link. The site is personalized and accurate, but the URL bar at the top still shows my.pogoplug.com and there is no favicon.
After I couldn’t get this to work I even tried an A (Host)" change to point to 38.126.11.29 (the IP address for my.pogoplug.com). After doing this I had the same thing happen as described above.
Does anyone know what’s wrong?

They got back to me pretty fast!
"Currently we have some issues with the favicon feature is and we have reported a bug to our Development.
We will work to fix this in our next release"
So I guess we have the answer on that issue. I will let you know if I hear back anything more.
