It depends on your settings for the Hard Drive attached to your Pogoplug.
When you go to my.pogoplug.com > settings > Media Settings what do you have everything set there for your hard drive?
If, for example, you have 'Optimize your videos for playback' enabled it could take quite a but of time for that to happen.
