I don't think you can rename files that are shared with you.
Can you upload file to the folders that are shared with you?
Updated:
Actually i have just checked and i can rename them?
Do you know if the files that you are trying to rename are located on the pogoplug device or on pogoplug software?
Hi all! "I'm totally new to pogoplug." (sounds like I'm on A.A. meeting :)
I find it really good alternative to Dropbox etc. (imho). But there's one annoying issue about renaming folders using webUI, ruining all the profits. Now, the details:
1. I don't use Pogoplug devices yet, only s/w.
2. When renaming folders at "Files I share" it's ok (unless I use Russian letters). But at "Shared with me" I always get "Unspecified server error", whatever I write. Of course, "Full access" is enabled. Tried out Chrome 12.0.742.112 m and IE 9 on Win7 Home Basic.
Any ideas, what's the problem?
PS. To Cloud engines: How about international UI/layouts/codepages support? ;)

Actually, my goal is to create some folders in 'Shared with you' folder and upload some files into them. Sometimes I decide to rename some folders, but I'm not allowed to. At the moment I can only create and delete folders.
No Pogoplug devices are used, just software. Uploading files works fine.
I've already talked to support team. They agreed, that renaming feature in 'Shared with me' folder should be implemented. My arguments were:
'Moreover, I can create and delete folders/files at any share. Renaming seems to me something in the middle .
So, letting me delete, but not rename doesn't look quite logical.
The restriction to rename folders can be passed at the moment by creating a new folder with the name I want, and moving files from previous folder into new one. Too many actions, but it do the job! The question is - what's the reason?'
Hi,
Why do you want to create those folders under "Files shared with you" -- it's just a collection of files that other users sharing with you.
Just go to your hd attached to the pogoplug or add some folders to remote access if you use the software and do there all of those things.
Then if you need to share the stuff with someone else -- just do it from webUI or right click "Share with Pogoplug".
Hope this helps.

Hi, owen.
The reason to do it this way is my ISP's upload (and often download) speed. In case I keep files on my hdd, my internet's gonna be dead, if someone tries to access my files :)
