In today's letter from the CEO it mentions the following:

Our new software also embraces the Pogoplug philosophy of "no fees, no limits" by letting you buy one license of our Premium edition and install it on ALL of your computers. This is an incredible deal that we're pleased to offer our loyal users. And you can save $5 just for reading this email.

My question is: If we already bought a premium license can that be used on my other computers or do I still have to purchase an additional Premium License?

I tried the License I already bought and it says it's already in use!!

Your license should work on more than one computer. If you are getting that you will need to contact support and let them know.
I had a similar problem and they had to re-initialize my original code number.

Where do i find license

My experience with Pogoplug is that the product doesn't live up to the hype.  I submit as Exhibit A the conflict between the email from the Cloud Engines CEO and your problems with multiple licenses.

They talk a good game, but when push comes to shove, the application falls short.  Just one person's opinion, but I've been a Pogoplug owner for well over a year, and it still doesn't work as advertised despite way too many contacts with customer support.

I guess we have a difference of opinion since the response from Tech Support was answered within a few hours. For the most part I have no problems with my 2 Pogoplugs. Like any product of this type, it matures as time goes by. I'm not a great fan of the new software and Active Sync as compared to what it was but it works. Printing Works, Wireless Works, my 4 drives work, as well as the 5 computers I store info too on the Pogoplugs.

Could it be improved, of course, but not unlike Intel or AMD, I believe Pogoplug will improve and advance their technology as time goes bye. Everyone has different technical abilities and I believe many of the negative postings are the result of not reading or understanding connectivity and operation.

I'm not prepared to paint Pogoplug negatively with a broad brush when they've responded to each and every ticket I've submitted to them over the last 2 years. If Microsoft responded as well, Apple would never have kept their 12-14% of the worldwide market they have.

I agree with you, Stephen, the support guys are very responsive.  Kudos to them.  My problems stem from Active Copy and its failure to copy files from location #1 to location #2 in a timely matter.  Support has not been able to do anything vis a vis that problem.

My bottom line -- if you read what Cloud Engines SAYS about Active Copy and you compare it to how Active Copy works in the real world, there is pretty big difference.  My experience with Active Copy is that it is unreliable, and that makes it a pretty poor automated backup solution.

'Nuff said.

My device is not a Pogoplug, but, I have a Premium License.  Does this make a difference on using the license on more than one computer?

@theladyluvlace

As long has you've installed version 3.1 of the software, you may use your Premium License on multiple computer.

I tried installing the Premium software but whenever I bring it up it still shows as the Free version.
