This is the question of the ages. One never knows when (or if) the so-called Active Copy will do it's thing. I wish the software had a command that would force Active Copy to execute, but it doesn't exist. What I do is diable the Active Copy, wait 5 minutes for that little teeny processor to catch up with that command, and then re-enable it.
Clearly Cloud Engines' description of how Active Copy works is in the clouds ...
I set up Active Copy a few days ago to automatically copy files from an external USB hard drive hooked to my PC (which also runs the Pogoplug software) to another USB hard drive connected to my Pogoplug. The first time I setup the Active Copy, everything copied over fine.
The problem occurred when I added some pictures to my PC's USB hard drive 4 hours ago. I assumed that Active Copy would automatically copy all those new pictures to the pogoplug/Active Copy USB hard drive. So far this hasn't happened. When I look at the "My Pogoplug" site it shows on the backup tab that the 2 folders are up-to-date. I would think it may take an hour or so for Active Copy / Pogoplug to notice the changes and update the folder, but so far nothing has happened. Any ideas on what the issue is?
How often does Active Copy / Pogoplug look for changes to the folder you need to keep backed up anyways?
Same situation here, updated the pogoplug software and now my nas shared directories (which updated fine before the softwar update) now seem to be frozen, I've even added a new directory to be copied, but still....nothing happens.
Will try the 5 minutes catch-up anyway.
